Last night my 92 year old Godmother sat me in front of the TV to watch The Tony Bennet tribute where they showed Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga and also KD Lang. She was in tears. After your story here I am now in tears. I'll never forget this lesson that Sun square Jupiter is about having a calling to pass on your good fortune and give back. I have the transiting Sun conjuncting my Natal Moon in 2nd house in Leo squaring Jupiter in the 11th in Taurus.i guess my friends are in luck!

Okay, Christopher, that was a tear jerker! Thanks for your deep, profound wisdom and all the gestures and expressions that make you a delight to watch and listen to. It is interesting that both Bennett and Belafonte left us at 96 years old and only three months apart. Bennett was one of many artists who accepted Belafonte's invitation to march with Dr King from Selma to Montgomery in '65. and later they entertained the marchers. I would say that was "good begetting good." Bennett had his corporal stripes cut off him for being seen out with his Black friend in a segregated Army. Belafonte fought in the Navy for the US only to come home and was not be able to eat or stay in the same places as his fellow artists on tour this country. We certainly could use a little more of that "coming together and raising our voices" while taking the reins these two and others have left us in order to stop this current erosion of human/civil rights. Jupiter helping Mars with the "good fight/ good trouble" as the Leo sun shines light upon it all!

Anyway, I remember that Amy Winehouse documentary with the Tony Bennett segment. Love it when Mr. Bennett says, "Life teaches you how to live it if you live long enough." With your reference to horses, it made me think of the Kozminsky symbol: "12 Virgo: A horseman holding with difficulty a rearing horse. Denotes one who is drawn into rash ventures and who will be forced to work hard to save those things truly his own. He may be too dependent on his strength, which he overtaxes, or on his resources, which he overstrains. The rising planet contains the warning. It is a symbol of Grappling."

I've been an Amy Winehouse fan since she first released 'Frank'... 'You Should Be Stronger Than Me' one of my favourite songs of hers. There is no doubt she sinned against her talent and that she had many inner battles and was not necessarily surrounded by people who would, or could, help her...ironically she looks really quite healthy in the Body & Soul video and seemed to be on her way back to pre-Blake form, then she passed.
