The Studio: Dynamic Range & HDR in Adobe Lightroom

Our eyes can see a vastly wider range of brightness in a scene than even the best cameras.
Limits to your sensor's dynamic range causes clipped/harsh highlights, noisy shadows and generally an image that does not represent how our eyes viewed the scene.
In this episode of the studio, we look at this problem, view some examples, and look at ways that our cameras and Adobe Lightroom overcome this limitation with High Dynamic Range (HDR) images.
.... ooh, if you do this a lot in Lightroom already, there is a way to speed up your work dramatically.

Thanks Scott. You can even go one better, if you stack your brackets (use stack based on capture time) then you can even use that key press so do a whole bunch at the same time!

Well spotted on the location! I’m always on the way to Coombe Lodge when I’m passing so don’t usually have time. So was nice to spend 30 minutes here with a couple of photography trainees
