I’m 65 - this reminds me of going to hear the local bands from my youth! Love this!
It's euphoric to hear some bands reviving the old music
trust me, i'm 62 years old, I know ,my music, this band rocks, most guitarists wish they could play like this, listen to how tasty the lead guitar is, the vocals are spot on,rhythm is perfect, the sound is clear and full, keep it up men! Frederick Frost

@@john0691 The other 3 formed a band, can't recall their name, but they broke up soon afterwards. Maybe the Covid thing had something to do with it. Shame about The Strypes, they were a GREAT Band. Unfortunately their sound and style kind of limited them a bit. They either had to expand their sound/genre or write HITS to keep moving forward, none of which happened.

They've worked harder for it. Playing pubs, smaller, obscure places, and building up steam. Compared to some openers for One Direction and immediately getting fame.

I'm a product of the 1950s & 1960s. AND I like this band. 👍🎸
we need people like them. i'm like around their age and if it weren't for them i wouldn't know of the Yardbirds and such. and didn't a lot of these classic bands start at a young age like them? like george harrison coming into the beatles at 14 and such...wow can you imagine what the strypes could do in the future? So glad that they are young, and glad that I finally have a good band to grow up with.
My god! Why are these kids not more famous. Bieber better watch out. These kids rock!

Finally some real music? Are you kidding? A band from 2014 playing like the 60's again? How many times are we gonna cover the 60's before it just gets stupid? Jesus Christ it was 50 years ago… I want to hear some NEW music, not dorks from the 2010's pretending to be a 60's band. The worst part is it doesn't even have a hooky or catchy melody. NEXT!
@FlamingZebra101

paul bergeron If anything these guys are reviving the sound of the sixties, not ripping it off. And whose to say they will stay like this? They are a very young band, and have their whole careers ahead of them to experiment and try new things. Don't pass them off immediately, because they are an extremely promising young group.
@Alligators_in_the_sewer

***** I agree music today is terrible. I still don't want to hear rehashed music though. I can listen to actual 60's songs that are a billion times better than this. It's 2014 lets try something new instead of pretending we live in the 60's?
@FlamingZebra101

Everyone borrows from their idols, and thats just what these guys are doing. They are genuinely talented individuals. And how many times must I reiterate, they are a very young band are likely to develop as they age. Anyway, at this point most rehashing of the sixties has been incredibly creative and well made music. If anything, it is good that they are trying to bring back this style of music.

They are very talented at such a young age. Incredible. Yeah sure they have obvious influences but who doesn't. The important thing is that they transcend it to make their own awesome music. Coming from a metalhead who is not easily interested by pop/rock music. But hell, these ones are really good.
Hey they're young kids emulating a raw rockabilly, punk, early Stones vibe. Good for them and they're having fun. Rock on Young Rockers!

Its great, but México has been giving so many good bands lately: - Los Maestros del Revólver (Surf Western/Rock & Roll/Country) - La Garfield. (Jazz Fusion) - Sierra León. (Post - Rock) - Apolo (Rock/Desert rock) - Suave As Hell (Psychedelic rock) - URSS Bajo El Árbol (Psychedelic rock/Psychedelic pop) - Flödhast (Post-Rock) - Expedición Humboldt (Psychedelic Pop) - Fracaso Hippie (Rock) Its a matter of searching in other countries and it helps to learn another language.
This song has got a Rolling Stones, Beatles, Yardbirds and kinks vibe to it!! :)

This is just awesome. Finally a band that interprets the music of our fathers PROPERLY.
They may not be anything "special" but they're definitely worth listening to, even more so when you consider what's being played on the radio
people... be thankful there are bands out there like these keeping RnB and rock n roll alive... you guys are forgetting these are 16-18 year olds who should be listening to the top 40 bollocks. I'm really glad these guys are out there playing genuinely good music.

I also think this band has little to do with the Beatles, except the few early years. The Strypes have learned their lessons more than well. They sound like early Dr. Feelgood or Lew Lewis Reformer. Also influenced by the Pirates and quit a lot from the Inmates and Eddie and the Hot Rods which all were great English R&B and R&R bands in the 60ies - 80ies. Kaya if you like this, you could check out the Downliner Sect from 60ies as well the Renegades (from Finland/England). It´s so good to have a band like this!

you guys keep saying that they're ripping off the beatles but seriously when the beatles came around there were TONS of bands that sounded the exact same as them. honestly, any one of those bands could've been as big as the beatles in my opinion. they all sounded the same! anyway, the strypes are a rad band. they're just some talented kids who just want to make music. why can't be just sit back and enjoy the great music they're making instead of fucking bickering all the time? jesus.

The Best Of Music estes garotos estão na década e século errados se fossem na década de 60 bateriam de frente com os gigantes da música mundial da época eles tem uma sonoridade bastante peculiar a do The Who e The Kinks com um jeito bem punk derivado da influência deles do Ramones.

Verdade amigo.
Modern day mods?
These guys are absolutely amazing live and who cares if they sound a bit like a different band... Everyone has a role model and everyone finds inspiration from different things. These lads have just found a way of taking ideas and tips from other bands and made them their own.

Even IF true...you said that like it was a "bad thing". Music is nourishment for the soul, like food is nourishment for the body. And nobody looks at a steak or cheeseburger and sniffs that "it's been done before." Nor should they regarding music. Music, across all known genres, has OBJECTIVELY sucked for the past 35-38 years. These guys are trying to bring real music back. So quit complaining.
