Description:
When we think of physical strength and ability it’s easy to picture a range of sports and film celebrities we associate with those characteristics. Any fans of football can list of a host of athletes who possess considerable strength which is displayed week in and week out on TVs across the country. Those with a keen interest in strength are also likely familiar with body building competitions which see contestants build up their muscle mass and tone through extensive weight lifting. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno (aka the original Incredible Hulk) are probably two of the most legendary body builders who became icons of strength in the 1970s. This image was further enhanced through the 1980s as both took on acting roles which emphasized their size and strength.
Away from the playing fields and competition grounds, television shows and films continue to give us a host of characters who are obviously strong. Actor Tom Hardy famously bulked up to increase his strength in real life and, more importantly, on screen when he portrayed Bane, the adversary of Batman in The Dark Knight Rises. Those who are addicted to Game of Thrones know who The Mountain is and probably know that the man who plays that character, Hafthor Bjornsson, is a record setting weight lifter in real life. While it’s a field dominated by men, the topic of strongest people is seeing an ever increasing contribution from women. Female body building is becoming ever more popular and the influx of female wrestlers in WWE has increased significantly over the last decade.
Yes, ‘world’s strongest’ makes the vast majority of people think of adults, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, when we try to picture what ‘strength’ looks like. Adults, however, aren’t the only ones getting attention when it comes to physical strength. Kids, from infants to early teenagers, have captured a few headlines over the years for displaying incredible muscle mass and strength. It’s generally rare to talk about children when discussing ‘World’s strongest’ because they are usually small, weak and a long way from being fully developed. Additionally, while most kids simply can’t or don’t want to turn themselves into mini-Hulks, most adults feel it is inappropriate for children to be doing heavy weightlifting while they are still developing. In any event, there are a small number of kids who have demonstrated exceptional strength and abilities - far beyond the other kids of their age range.
The following video looks 10 of the strongest kids in the world. From genetic disorders to living in cultures or families that put a high value of body image and strength, these kids all demonstrate impressive physical strength. Ahead you’ll find infants and toddlers, 9 year olds and 14 year olds - all with strength and abilities greater than most adults. Closely resembling today’s adult world of strength-related competitions, the realm of strongest kids involves a considerable number of girls who show they can get just as strong as their male counterparts

    Those kids lifting weights is terrible. I didn't start weight training until I was in middle school, and I'm pretty sure that the years of weights are what gave me the joint problems I have today (in my late 20's). Kids should just stick to cardio and strength train naturally with push ups, sit ups, etc.

    +MarzMiller Most likely you just didn't have the proper diet to support joint health. Fish oils everyday, with the proper vitamins and diet would reduce joint pain/ damage drastically. It's why power lifters have such a strict diet

    People are allowed to have opinions, gosh. And it's natural to have joint problems when having such strenuous wok outs. Most people do. Granted, eating the right diets that consist of the right fast will help decrease the chance of that, but it's still a chance.

  • @africa241

    @africa241

    8 жыл бұрын

    Killing is bad, just like excessive workouts are bad. Not jail time bad, but unhealthy bad. There is a reason why most gyms don't let kids under 18 lift weights. Now you can do calisthenics and weight lifting at a young age, but it has to be in accordance with your own body mass and development. Let's say you have a body, bones and joints, that can normally hold up to, let's say as an example, 40kgs of muscles. And yet, you have 65kgs. Sure you're not gonna drop dead or end up handicapped, but in the long term (especially the older you get), it's gonna come back and bite you in the ass. And when you go to the xtreme, and let you're 7 year old kid have the tightest muscles ever, or your 15 year old daughter lift up to 200kgs of weights, then you're a dumbass. Sports are the best, and workouts are for all ages. But an excess of everything and/or anything will always turn out unhealthy.

    +Jakob Aylesbury there are some genetic mutations which make it possible. for example there's a protein called myostatin which is responsible for you storing fat and not getting to muscular, so you don't use up to many ressources. there is an incredibly rare gene mutation which completly stops myostatin from working which results in up to 2-3 times higher muscle mass and a very lean body at the same time

  • @dors.sc1

    @dors.sc1

    +hallowurm the reason why kids wont develop muscle mass is because they dont produce enough hormones like testosterone which is pretty much key in building muscle and steangh

  • @hallowurm

    @hallowurm

    8 жыл бұрын

    deathtoislam1000 there are a lot of things which enhance or limit muscle growth e.g. as you said the amount of testosterone. myostatin inhibits muscle differentiation and protein synthesis, if you take the myostatin away (myostatin knockout mutation) you can build significantly more muscle without changing anything about the other hormons therefore even a kid with low test levels can get pretty buff

  • @Gutttss

    @Gutttss

    +hallowurm However, Myostatin has quite a few negative effects that usually don't become apparent until a later age. Although, you should probably take this with a grain of salt as I'm not entirely sure that its correct.

    aGradeDubstep and when that happens it will eventually repaire itself to become even stronger, the tissue in the muscle thats damaged will also become even more elastic. you can push the body to fascinating limits. if you train at that level the muscles will need recovery when the damage appears, absolutly, it may take time but it willl recover eventually, it's the same for kids. you wont hurt the growth plates by only working out if you take the time to recover when the need appears.

    Ok ok... these kids are impressive but let's face it, 10 year Olds with six backs and extreme bicep definition is completely un-natural and almost certainly steroid induced

    In this video, we forgot to tell about another child Kostash Andrey. He is the national champion, he has a lot of records. Two record officially signed, incessant pushups 4000 repetitions (personal record but Andrey 6500 repetitions), and a continuous bench press 25 kg 1830 repetitions (reps personal record in 2100). At 8 years old Kostash Andrey set a world record with its own body weight 37 kg, he squeezed the bar 50 kg. Sorry if I make mistakes. I do not know much English, and use an interpreter.
