The Stafford is the most grandmasterly opening
lmaooo 12:12 he mirrored his past self so perfectly, even saying the line "lets get those g5 emotes"

@@akkermansia1488 I am wonder if at 1:18:29 Eric can take the pawn on h4 Bg6 Rxe1Rxe1 and Qg5- threating the bishop and also to push h4- if Bh5 or f5 after Bg3 followed by queen takes bishop is a winning advantage, otherwise this h4 is deadly
Woah That's the one! Your game three post game analysis has finally saved me after 2 years. I saw the video of Korley's win a long time ago and had been searching for it but didn't know his name. It was early into when I started playing chess so I couldn't even remember the opening just the bishop pinning the rook and the faux queen sac. Now I have finally found it! Thank you so much, Eric.

Woah, he won against a GM in one move!! Reminds me of when I won against an IM in one move, except I lost horribly in not one move and I got checkmated by castling.
The Stafford game was just so so beautiful.

Since no one else said it I will, that thumbnail is amazing! One of the best I've ever seen
the viewer who originally proposed the g5 stafford is a living legend.
Eric, I love your long videos, it's like crack. Please don't fall into the TikTok short video game at the cost of these wonderful long-form style videos.
love watching you play these tournaments. eric you’re awesome!
12:10 the flashback lol
"I think D4 is too strong" ~ Eric, 2021
this is so enjoyable and relaxing to watch. also love your screen setup.

7/13 in this strong field - good job Eric!

Love an Eric tournament
the start was hilarious :D
Excellent effort against super-strong opposition!
As varun said Evn I'm also having a big interest in watching IM Eric rosen videos before going to bed 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 We luv ur content ❤️❤️
Awesome thumbnail (Like a Dream Theater's album cover). Neat.
Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
I just wanna say, amazing thumbnail Eric.
@23:45 why didn't u pick up tha pawn on G2 after Ne2 ?! I don't get it Eric , is there any intermediate move after taking on G2 !!!!
The first 60 seconds of this video are funny af🤣🤣🤣
“The rook will be my teddy bear” -Eric Rosen
wait didn't I already watch this live like a long time ago ? I think this is the tournament where you played that g5 line in the stafford
in Lichess Swiss tournaments there is no rating change if either side forfeits!
Wow! I'm sweating from watching these tough games.
This is epic
I'm back only bc I missed the thumbnail. Great one!
He saw it was Eric Rosen and ran away from the chessboard in fear. #BOSSLEVEL congratulations, Eric. Fiat Lux
I dont get it, GMs and IMs are always like, i won a pawn, the blitz game is basically over, i win, and then proceed to lose material by getting forked or skewered lol, it hardly ever results in a pawn majority=win in blitz
ERIC: HEY, THERE'S A FUNNY LINE! ME: THESE MAGIC WORDS WOULD EVEN MAKE A GM BLUNDER AND LOSE
Me: ooh i wonder what goes through the minds of players in high level tournaments Eric Rosen: oh no i lost a thing
Wooow, amazing games!
Eric may I use your tricks for science purpose

What a nice tournament.
Hi Eric, I thought id say that I would appreciate more videos of rapid games. Videos on of blitz games require lots of focus and there isn't as much time for explanation like there is with rapid. Love the videos though!
Are you working on your gm title Eric? Your a excellent player and coach
Very nice game against GM BMWHero
Also love from Peru!
The first 2min were in a vid u posted in ur clip chanel
If only the chess wouldn't be so exciting, this could have been the perfect ASMR video. 😉

you're so funny eric haha, greeting from indonesia!
At position 27 out of 54 youre actually even better than exactly the middle
Congrats to new Peak
brilliant thumbnail
From Italy!
why did eric sound like he was 10 years younger in that flashback
So I'm only around 1000 but isn't the best move for black at 16:30 Nxd5? bc the pawn isn't really defended since if Qxd5 Qxc3 forking the king the bishop and the rook after wich the best move imo is Qd2 to block the check and defend the bishop? So 17.exd5 Nxd5 18. Qxd5 Qxc3+ 19. Qd2 Qxa8+ nvm I looked at an analysis and it would be 17.exd5 Nxd5 18. Qxd5 Qxc3+ 19. Ke2 Qxa1 20. Qc6 so the white queen would do the exact same to black
@that355

You're comment made me very confused at first but yeah it looks like this is an option for Black though personally I wouldn't go for it just because you're opening up some dangerous stuff whilst the king is still in the centre. Oh also quick note: The notation for a Knight is a N, because the King is K.. I think Kxd5 would be a very bold move in this position lol
We played Pin the Thing to the Thing at my sixth birthday party.
16:05 why not Nxd5 from black?
