7 out of 10 are at least partially green and a bunch of the honorable mentions too. Plus the green commons / uncommons seem like the best out of all colors in this set. From preview alone green definitely seems like the strongest color wow

This reminds me a lot of Thrones of Eldraine, half the rares are game-ending, monstruous threats. Gonna be a prince format I fear.

Even if you don't have a particularly strong or evasive creature for Oko to turn into, it can still be worth making him a creature to saddle something with

sadly this doesn't really work. Oko's ability happens at the beginning of combat and saddle is sorcery speed. you could do it in Main 2 i guess, but i think all of the saddle triggers only really take effect during combat

@@robertmontgomery8113 There's a few saddle triggers this would work with. The badger thing that mills two when it gets saddled comes to mind. But yeah, those aren't especially powerful.

Oko looks like he spends half his day doing sit ups and crunches.

Could be, there were a lot more bombs in the bonus slot for March of the Machine draft. Really skewed that format. I loved doing 5 color good stuff in addition to dimir over and over

Goldvein Hydra should be on this list.

I do think that mana is going to be rough enough this set that a lot of the 3 pip bombs are going to end up more fair than they first look.

We have the full cycle of ping Deserts, plus Mirage Mesa. Plus there are a couple not unplayable green uncommons and a common that can find Deserts (and therefore fix multiple colors, not just one). Dance of the Tumbleweeds is the most questionable, but Outcaster and the Armadillo are probably playable, especially if you have a 3 pip bomb to fix for. I think it'll be doable enough that you run them, and I think it'll mostly boil down to how fast the format is. We'll see I s'pose.

Seeing as how many of the best bombs are green or part green, I don't think that will be much of an issue... green has (once again) very good fixing.

A bit surprised Calamity, Galloping Inferno didn't make the list, that card looks really strong especially in a format like there where the card quality seems so high.

it has a pretty mediocre floor, to be fair

had ornery tumblewagg, 2 final showdowns, Bruse Tarl and a Rakdos in my sealed pool. Ended up playing a w/u deck with 2 showdowns and Bruse Tarl Splash. Didnt lose once after casting showdown, pretty good card.

a little sadge that the list doesn't include the breaking news or big score cards but this is still a great resource :)

I got milled out a Rakdos today and it was glorious

I find it interesting that the double-red 'deal 5 to a creature' card can kill every creature on this list (except Rakdos if they have another creature).

Most of them also give you value no matter what, so you don't feel great about removing them.

I think we're going to need some sort of video essay on how to recover after your opponent(s) draw their biggest bomb before you find yours.

I opened my second pack in MTG arena and I got Rakdos the muscle Haven't tried him out but he looks dope

7 out of 10 biggest bombs have green colour. Seems like the colour ro be in :D

Yeah Rakdos is just stupid. In the final round of my prerelease, I faced off someone who pulled two Rakdoses. Luckily, I played my own laughing Jasper Flint and was able to steal one for a victory, and my opponent never found them in the other games, but man he had a sick deck.

I'm assuming you aren't counting the bonus sheet because I think OG Oko is the biggest bomb by a lot.

Good picks. Rakdos looks insane and unfun to play against.

It's kinda crazy how Dust Animus has no protection and no immediate value and still is a bomb.

Me when I elked my opponents rakdos twice in prerelease using old oko.

You talk about okos static like it's a may I don't think you get to choose if he does turn into a creature right it's a must correct me if I'm wrong please

It was an honorable mention, and I think that's where it belongs. Certainly a bomb, but not a "I'm way ahead even if they kill this"-type card.

I'm surprised Orny Tumblewagg is on the list. It seems like a very good but not back breaking card. But I haven't really deep dived the set the way you did.

It compares pretty favorably with two bombs from the past - Luminarch Aspirant and Siege Veteran.

Final Showdown costs 8 to use all modes, not 7. Can't forget about the first white pip needed to cast the spell.

I was counting it. You don't need to use that mode most of the time, you only need to cast on 7 to win.

I know it's in your top 10 list but I really can't figure out why no one else is talking about railway brawler. Especially for Commander, it's going in every Green deck I have regardless of theme

So 7 out of the top 10 bombs require green mana to cast? Don't know how I feel about that...

As someone who has next to no experience playing limited, I cannot confirm anything on this list. What I can confirm, is that there is a non-0 chance of one of these cards making it onto "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!

Quadrupled. Cuz the first would double it, then the second would double that result.

one would trigger a double, then the other trigger would double that resulting in a quadruple increase, but both triggers would have to resolve.

I am not sure about Annie. Also, Ornery does not provide much if you are not ahead. I think terror of the peaks is simply really good.

Annie's pretty unique, but we have lots of evidence for the other two. Terror is a reprint and Ornery is a green version of Siege Veteran, a massive bomb from the past. It does plenty when you aren't ahead, you'd be surprised how useful a free counter every turn is. Will be interesting to see how win rates shake out, but I'd imagine all three will be great.

It's entirely possible that KZread itself deleted a comment. If you tried to post a link, or accidentally used a word that's on an invisible "forbidden" list, it's possible that your comment will just straight up be eaten by the system without warning. I've had that happen to me as well, and now I usually go Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C on my comment before posting it, and then stick around to make sure the comment is still there at least 30 seconds later. If it vanishes, I then try to figure out what it is I typed that KZread itself didn't like.

I do not play green or white, so there were only two cards for me here. They are so good to green and white every time, maybe it is because they know the weaker players play those colors. Just kidding! LOL trying to start a color brawl.
