I loved Cairo, I went to Cairo, took the train to Alexandria, Flew to Aswan, sailed up the Nile to Luxor solo, 21 days. Didn't see the Pyramids had to run back to the states. Can't wait to get back to Egyp! Thank You! I love crossing cairo streets! Thanks again!

@@Iceyfire12 I guess running across a place like Tahir Square, a huge round about in the middle of Cairo, adds that adventurous dangerous element. Once a person hits 50, caution and fear of traffic sets in. Here in America, it's gotten real bad the past 10 years where they'll just run over you like how it is in lots of other countries that's been corrupted, dehumanized, and debt enslaved for a few thousand years past the point of return. The days of cute little red cabooses with friendly guys waving are long gone.
My husband is Egyptian and in a couple of weeks I am heading that way for my 4th visit. I LOOOOOOOOOVE Egypt and it's people. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met in my life.

welcome! the idhan is the call to prayer. you'll hear it 5 times a day. if you have time go up to the North Coast or Red Sea. Egypt has beautiful beaches!! while in Cairo, go to saqqara, the step pyramid, not as touristy as giza, and almost as impressive. be safe

Too bad Abdel Fattah Saeed Hussein Khalil el-Sisi is unfit for office, a very very tiny man. A person who fears his own people and dismantled the Brotherhood simply to maintain a dictator state. Don't we all want to live in Egypt, maybe Russia is safer. El SIS is a bad representative of his faith.

I lived in Cairo for a year back in 1976-77 and I loved my time there. It is amazing to see how much the city has changed. When I was there the women were not veiled and most wore western style dress. It makes me sad that they have gone backwards. The traffic was just as crazy back then as it appears now. All drivers honk their horns constantly!

hey bro love your content since I am an Egyptian if you want to meet up me and my friends can show Cairo through the lens of a local.
In regards to your question about the Nile vs the Amazon... the Nile is the longest river in the world; however, it is not particularly wide. The Amazon is the second longest river and also the widest. So by pure waterflow, the amazon is larger.

That was indeed the call for Prayer (Adhan), you should have visited Islamic Cairo, from there you have an even more amazing view of the city.
I went in 2018 and it looks much cleaner now. It was an amazing trip!!! I went from sugar to sh*t really fast all the time!! I had a tour guide at some point (Memphis Tours) and the other half I stayed at a Hostel which I met some really nice people. Be careful bc they will try and scam you. Take ur Mom or sister some of the hood smelling oils they have, they are the best!! And are authentic ♥️💯
I was there a decade ago. No stoplights in Cairo. It's good luck .🤣🤣Visited the most of the temples, the museums, Cairo, Aswan, Luxor...Incredible trip. Your money goes FAR!.
What you are hearing bro in the 14th min is called Azan for Muslim prayers . You are hearing it 5 times a day. It's nice to see you , i am Omar from Egypt.
The pray call is 5 times a day and it's in Arabic. It includes praise for the God Almighty Allah and for the prophet Mohammed peace be upon him however it doesn't go on all night the last one of the day would be like 10 pm in the summer, 7:30 pm in the winter. Then the next which is the first on the next day would be in dawn around 4 pm in the summer and 6 am in the winter. I enjoyed your video especially when you were trying to get across the streets of Cairo following what the locals were doing, I honestly couldn't help my self from laughing. like Egyptian people are the experts it seems so safe as it's a part of their daily lives. I love Egypt🇪🇬 flaws and all. Following from neighboring Libya🇱🇾. God bless you brother.
I was there about 3 months after the election in 2014. I am an American convert to Islam. I was visiting a fellow educator in Upper Egypt, which is a 10 hour train ride south of Cairo. I was in Cairo for a week. I have severe ptsd still from my trip. I wore niqab and fully covered, as I was told by my peer that it was cultural standard for women in Upper Egypt. I did not do so in Cairo, but I dressed in hijab and was dressed modestly, but in a modern, casual way.
