Celeste modding community is huge

I like that Grandmaster maps are like “yeah this is technically humanly possible if you map 17 buttons to each input, do every tech in the game at the same time, have four hands, and spend the amount of time it would take to get a Masters degree dying over and over again” and the community is just like “okay”

It's amazing to me how there are so many mechanics in the game that feel so fully fleshed out, despite being fully unintentional by the devs.

Flag 1 is something I never expected to see, the Intro to it, the music, the timing, the sheer chaos that the final stretch looks like while navigating through what looks like a maze of blocks And when you finally beat it, the music syncing up to every badeline throw and bird, and the climax of ''collecting'' every heart you got before while climbing further and further just to at the peak you finally get to your final reward, the grandmaster heart That flag 1 and ending alone is pure art, and after 10k deaths after it I can imagine how good must it feel to see that for the first time

This is truly the peak tier of creativity. Reminds me of the level Limbo from another game (geometry dash), crazy how people working together on a common passion can create such masterpieces

Cant wait to get out of intermediate and spend the next ten years of my life doing this. Good job, this looks like a carpal tunnel sim

I am slack-jawed at the level of skill behind this. Absolutely insane.

I could probably handle a couple rooms in this pantheon, but others my brain just goes “what the actual hell just happened”

This is trully the epithome of Celeste both as gameplay and graphism, trully an incredible mod that I didn't even think could be that great, thanks for giving this video to us bad celeste players and thanks to all the collaborators that worked on this monumental and memorable project

Damn this looks crazy, I don't even understand what's going on in this map anymore. Certainly a stunning map, congrats to you and all the people behind SJ!

I knew the grandmaster would be epic, but I was not prepared for this. Insane gameplay and absolutely GORGEOUS maps and music. Incredible work all involved!

I kinda wish there were more accessible versions of the later levels, id love to play this but hitting the wall that is advanced, expert and grandmaster it feels a bit sad. Especially when the levels are so pretty. Props to you for beating this though it looks like a TAS run rather than a human.

For me the wall was expert.... But I let SC2020 block me on GM and I'm not planning on let it be like that again, I hope really hard that I can learn the mechanics properly this time, don't know how, but I'll do it, don't matter how long it takes me

Ahah, I loved all of them, so that's hard to say. I think my top 3 are flag 4, flag 2, flag 1. I didn't die on the 2nd half of flag 1, I trained it hardly until I didn't have to think at the route.

Was Flag 1 the hardest flag for you? It almost looks relatively easy compared to some of the other flags (plus the fact that the main part of it doesn't take relatively long to complete)

No flag 1 is the hardest route to memorise, but really not the hardest. Flag 7 (7:45) is the only really hard flag, I learnt all the others easily ;)

I dunno if I well understood the question, but I used savestates in most of the rooms to learn the movements, and to remember the rooms. That's why the flag 1 was pretty long ahah, because I needed more time to find and learn the route, than doing it savestateless :)

I've got so many questions 🤣 how long did it take you to beat it ??

It's a cornerkick. you can jump when madeline uncrouches, or more generally when you reach a corner. It doesn't happen because of the ceiling, but mostly because at the side of the ceiling there is obviously a wall where you can jump as on every wall ;)

list mods quietly swapped around the golden tier numbers once WMFCG happened, but everyone still calls them their old names (7DG being tier 1 and not "tier 7", Sunrise Running of 9D being tier 7 and not "tier 1")

13h40. But basically flag 15 took me 1h45 and flag 7 took me 6h20. Then removing these rooms, the whole map took me 5h30
