I was there in '90, they came on after about 5 hours of support acts and when this started I could feel there was something in the air; of course as it transpired it was their last gig as the original lineup! Fast forward over 30 years and I've enjoyed hearing and seeing both The Stranglers and Hugh solo (and JJ solo!) regularly ever since. The lesson? When it's over it's only just begun... Best track at this gig? Something better change!

Excellent live version of 'Toiler On The Sea'. Too bad that Hugh Cornwell decided to quit The Stranglers that year in 1990. But he had his reasons. He just felt The Stranglers couldn't go any further creative wise with the music. He called Jet Black on the phone that he was quitting. Jet Black's response was "OK". and that was it. Dave Greenfield was one of the best keyboard and synth musicians in the world of rock. He did look much better with a mustache. May he Rest In Peace.
