Dude I saw it for the first time maybe like a year later (I was about 14-15) in Mexico at like midnight and my mom and I had to walk in the pitch black to our house down and across the streets. A pick up truck honked and cat called us and I, being the American raised confident teen I was, immediately flipped them off and yelled something back but I can’t remember what. They hit the breaks so hard the tires squealed and we got so immediately terrified and HAULED ASS past our gate and into our house. 😭😭😭 I could not sleep for the next few night cause I was so convinced they were gonna come back and torture me like the strangers did in the movie 😂😂😂

Guys go check out this movie for YOURSELF don’t listen to critics or other fans. I’m a DIE HARD fan of the OG Strangers it was darn near a perfect home invasion movie. I went to go see this the other day and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would enjoy it. I also didn’t watch the trailer because I knew I would see it regardless to see what they come up with. It’s different from the OG in almost every way as far as it being “JumpScare style” , there s a story, they focus a lot on the strangers. And overall it’s a very different vision from the original but idk in its own right I enjoyed it in a way.

The Strangers 2024 is good. It doesn't surpass 2008 but better than the 2018 sequel

The 2018 movie was WAY better. This movie was a direct copycat of the original and had little to no redeeming qualities. 2018 had cool scenes like the pool and references to Scream and Texas chainsaw. And if I thought prey at night characters made bad decisions, well this movie cranks it up to 11!

This Movie seems amazing and i cant wait for it to go back to basics and show us who they are and why they do what they do. Cant Wait for the Trilogy man its gonna be awesome to see The Strangers strike one more time

It's interesting, the protagonists and the murderers are undoubtedly the best thing about the movie.

The original is obviously one of the best and most legit scary movies ever made. The sequel had a “killer” soundtrack. I look forward to seeing what a prequel offers to the series!

This trailer is sooo freaking good in theaters! I went to see Abigail and was pleasantly surprised when not only did i see another additional to "the strangers" franchise but also that the trailer was this good!

I love movies like this, where their car breaks down, they stay in a remote cabin, and there are sinister goings on. I'm definitely going to see this 🌙⭐

I recently saw this movie and really loved it. The suspense and the horror was really good. One lady in the cinema was so scared she screamed haha. I look forward to chapter 2😊

Idgaf what makes these movies so unique imo it’s not over the top. It’s so realistic you feel like it’s you in the situation. That’s what made the first one so good. I feel like if the acting is top tier this could go really well.

I always tell people “because you were home” is the most terrifying line in a movie ever and the reason is the reality that you people can be terrified and slaughtered for literally NO REASON

Whoever chose the music had great taste

The first movie messed with everyone and still fucks with me. The strangers is legit scary because this actually happens to people every day. It’s not like ghost face or Michael Myers. I’m so excited for this🤘

Just going to someone’s house and killing people just because they wanted to. …and because it was more real and caught the main couple not as the perfect happy couple, as always, but a troubled one. Then silence, grittiness… This one looks really, really average and anonymous.

Ah, this brings back memories of being young and seeing this in theaters and then wanting to rent it to show it to everyone i know. The original strangers movie has always been my favorite. Its such an underrated gem. Yes, the original will never be touched and i agree with some saying that it was scarier when there was no origin story but i will still see this. I want to see a whole new generation fall in love with the strangers franchise. Its okay to let things change. I have high hopes I'll be good either way

I wish they would’ve made continuation of the first one! But this looks like it’s gonna be good too

The first one is iconic, I remember being about 19 or so when it came out and remember it actually being scary which in all honesty is hard to do with horror.

Finally, they started adding good songs in the trailers!

He’s most likely not going to see this, but Froy was a good elementary-school friend of mine. In middle school we naturally drifted apart as he went on to attend a special performing-arts school (I actually found this out years later on Wikipedia lol, before that I just knew he no longer went to the same middle school as I did, was kinda worried about where he went 😂). He was a massively creative and imaginative kid and I remember a hell of a singer even back then. Through the years I read he got into some Disney shows and then today, here I am, scrolling through KZread and finding out that he will be starring as a lead in a major studio film. Kudos, Froy, you deserve it!

Well that's gotta be cool to at least know an actor to a certain degree even if you were just a school friend from elementary school. Froy was also in Cruel Summer Season 1 on Freeform , I loved that TV Series. It was really good and Froy did really well in that. Thanks for sharing your memory of him tho !

The Strangers original movie will forever be my favorite horror film. No movie ever shook my insides like that one did. This one didn't give me that same feeling, hoping the movie proves differently.

The movie was decent, good horror scenes and dark atmosphere.

​@@ceeset5472When I first watched the sequel I liked it (& I suppose there's still elements I enjoy about) but with subsequent rewatches I found myself having morw issues with it, as far as it being a good Strangers film I found it to be sub-par at best & it seems we're getting the same with this new film.

The original is legit still one of the scariest and best horror movies ever. This looks like a modern day repeat of the same movie…

"Is Tamara home?" randomly pops into my head all the time. It was a really simple, very creepily delivered line, that literally stands for the franchise (if you google it you'll see), and yet, here they take it away. Same with "because you were home." It's a better line, period. It's a scarier void. Choices like that are what immediately make me lose interest in seeing a new take, because it's like the filmmakers couldn't be bothered to see what made the other movie work and figured, "let's just do it half shot for shot, use a thesaurus to remix the few bits of iconic dialogue, and boom we're done!" No.

Couple: "Why are you doing this to us?" The Strangers: "bc we were in a silly goofy mood."
