Being from Brooklyn and seeing Menance II Society a million times when I landed in San Diego I had to drive up and tour Watts, Compton, Crenshaw and went to visit Jordan Downs. It was the day time and kids were playing outside. I took a quick walk up and down Grape Street. Seemed pretty normal. Watts reminded me of back home. Growing up in L.A., and always gravitating to older people, got me schooled on the majority of sets in L.A., how they started, rivals, associates, etc... however one thing I've never understood was why, or how both Crips and Bloods have sets with the name Rollin', like Rollin' 60's Crips and Rollin' 30's Bloods, and I've never heard anyone talk about that, I get when gangs have the same street name or area names.

I was a tagger for years and on a party crew, the party crew go swallowed up by FSCG, but I moved to Sacramento a few years later but I was in several Tagging crews when I left and a couple are now gangs too, like ATC, VK both became gangs, but CBS and GK didn't, but I was always cool with most people I meet so I ended up knowing Gangstas and Taggers from every corner or L.A. and every culture, color and race
