I’m intrigued by this. Sati needs Shiva in the way that our earthly life needs meaning. But Shiva also needs Parvati, or else he would still be a recluse in the mountains… Interesting that it is when they come together that Ganesha, prosperity, is born… I’m going to meditate on this a bit.

I assume you mean prosperity in a larger view sort of way, not the prosperity of the stock market or the successful business venture. Shiva does not sound like the type. I remember reading a story about him as the wedding crasher. He wore skins and snakes. He was totally unconventional. I have been reading this book about the early life of a favorite fictional character of mine, Palpatine. The book is called "Darth Plagueis." His backstory is very Shiva-ish. I found out recently his first name is Sheev. It sounds rather close, and I don't think it is an accident. The Sith are given a more cosmic role, like Shiva's role. They destroy so things can be reborn. This book brings that out.

It's worth actually reading these stories in the Shiv Puran. There are so many more extraordinary details. Like how at the wedding of Shiva and Sati, Lord Bramha, whom was officiating, became so aroused at the sight of Sati that he "spilled his seed" upon the ground in front of her, pushing Lord Shiva to curse him, but forgive him again.

You are right and video is very nice. The whole universe is created by supreme almighty. Now the supreme personality of godhead manifests as brahma , Vishnu and mahesh. Lord Brahma is called the creator because he is the creator of all beings of universe (Humans, animals, dieties, celestial beings, demons, devas etc) He is the largest being of this material world. Lord Vishnu is called the preserver because he gives salvation to all beings all souls are part of him. Body is created by brahma but comes into work by soul. Lord Shiva is called the destroyer because he annhilates the whole universe during the end of cycles of yuga. Lord shivas abode lies in between the material and spiritual world. Because the body of all beings all the matter is shiva and soul puts life into body and energy is needed to move the body and to create and destroy also that is where Shakti comes into being. Without shiva and Shakti balanced and in union moksha is not possible. Without balance between masculine and feminine both. Whether you are married or not it doesn't matter. If you can stay non married with a balance between shiva and Shakti in your body then no need to marry. If you cannot then marry . That's why in ancient time sages and saints were not restricted from marriage. The feminine form of god is called as goddess. The energy of god. Without her will nothing's possible. She is responsible for the creation of universe. From her womb the whole creation emerged even the manifestations of Trinity. She gives the fruits of actions for each and every individual. It is her influence that keeps humans into this material existence. Don't confuse Goddess Durga i.e the mother of all with Goddess Parvati who is the consort of lord shiva even though she is also the manifestation of supreme mother as all woman are. Lol i tried to explain in the best way i can i hope this was helpful. Btw ty for video
