The Alchemist of Music!!! Michael Cretu is a Genius...

Sounds great, i'm so pleased that all Enigma albums are unique and different, but it seems some people want him to just make the same album over and over. I hope Part 2 isn't a carbon copy of Part 1, so far it sounding great, the whole albums is.

The sound of an organ draws you in. Invisible hands touch you and push you ahead. By and by your eyes adjust to the darkness. A million prayers and a billion curses float through the air and tumble to the ground turning into red smoke. This cathedral is terribly dilapidated, the pews are broken, the walls are crumbling. Some ragged flags, some mouldy saints, and a large hole in the roof. At the sanctuary a group of monks in red bordered frocks chanting blasphemous psalms. A magic ritual inspiring an ecstatic priest in ceremonial attire. He's facing the altar with arms extended turning his back to you. Is he praying? No, he listens to some mysterious message. Viens chez moi, je suis ton destin. You're intrigued. You walk up to him, and when you're right behind him he turns around and you stand petrified. The priest is a woman. The face of the limousine driver. She's half naked. Lascivious smile, sensuous lips, perfect body. Sade j'ai compris. Sade je te suis. Angel or devil? You're tempted, confused, scared. She beckons you to come closer. Her eyes hold you, her words grab you, her beauty feeds your dreams. Your fear catches fire and burns to ashes. You feel lighter, better, saved, being aware, of course, you're still lost. You're ready to give in, ready to give up. You need to touch her. But you grasp at nothing. She's gone. A vanished illusion. The image remains stored.

Sadeness (Part 1) was so sensual and magical, and full of light. Sadness (Part II) is sounding dark and sinister. I hope there will be some sensuality to it. When I think Enigma I think sensual and erotic.

OMG!!! Very great sounds, that true Enigma' back. My opinion, E8 Most great alchemical album' all of time.

Sadeness was born in 1990 and I was born in 1992, but I met it in 2007. 😮 Now, in 2016 I can't wait to listen to Part II. 😀

Does anybody know which Bach's composition used in the background of "the story behind sadeness (part II)"? Or is this just Cretu himself imitating the Bach's style? I DO know that the sadeness II excerpt contains sampled or played part from Bach's "fuga D minor", but i'm talking about this particular video (and AFAIK it is not "fuga D minor"). Also I would like to ask similar questions about the choirs used both in the sadeness II excerpt and its story behind video - are those choirs taken from classics, who is the composer and what particular composition are those choirs taken from? I heard that it's beethoven's 9th symphony, but listening to its fourth (final) part (the only part that contains choirs) I've not recognized choirs used in "Sadeness part II". Thanks in advance for any answer and sorry for my bad english.

I'M Just Like You But Do Not Despair Almost There My Friend ¡A Greeting!

The French version is amaaaaaaazing.

The first track samples are somewhat disappointing. "The Die is Cast" sounds pretty sick, the production is absolutely amazing. Can't wait to hear "Sadeness part II". I don't have hopes of it even touching the magic of any song off E1-E4, but one never really knows. We shall see... Fingers crossed and exited either way!! Does anyone know when the sample will be available???

The sound behind the story of Sadeness II is much more interesting than the actual song. I was very disappointed about the final result of Sadeness II - like most of core Enigma fans was too .. I am not joking by saying of music from story of Sadeness II was extended and mastered properly it would have had better effect and results than actual single ...(+ nice mysterious video).

love enigma but i wish this song didn't sound so much like count dracula i expected something with a more hip hop beat with monks in the back groung

where's the Shakuhachi flute :/ ?? And those dubstep-ish feel (from the track demo) ruins the track for me. I really expected something on the lines of Sadeness Part 1.

the combination of sounds okay, if it were made based on sadness part I, the fans would say it's just a remix of sadness part I, so this track is good. Let's face it, times change and sadness part I was in the eighties, this is the sadness of 2000.

yes you are right. changes are good and I think it will take a time for me to digest this new Enigma feels (I really loved the previous song teasers and they are beautiful). but being a true-Enigma fan I'm still lost (in a good way) and find peace in the first 4 Enigma albums. They are soo close to me and they just take away all the pains.
