The Story of Richard Wurmbrand
Should one pledge allegiance to God or to country? For Richard Wurmbrand, the answer to this question led him to years of inprisonment and brutal torture at the hands of Romanian communists. Later, Wurmbrand started the organization which would later be known as the "Voice of the Martyrs" or VOM. This is his story, which is largely take from his book, "Tortured for Christ."
“I have seen Christians in communist prisons with fifty pounds of chains on their feet, tortured with red-hot iron pokers, in whose throats spoonfuls of salt had been forced, being kept afterward without water, starving, whipped, suffering from cold-and praying with fervour for the communists. This is humanly inexplicable! It is the love of Christ, which was poured out in our hearts.” - Richard Wurmbrand.

Amazing how Wurmbrand lived exactly like the apostles did. The power of the Holy Spirit working through him and sustain him in his circumstances is nothing short of miraculous grace.

I have read his book, “Tortured for Christ” and have listened to his testimonies. This is well done. God’s grace is available as needed…always. And yes, devour the Word of God. I am encouraged. Thank you. Jesus is indeed the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Supported Voice Of The Martyrs for many years... Richard and those who suffered for Christ and the GOSPEL with him as God's willing vessels are still being used to inspire new generations of Followers of JESUS. GOD IS GOOD! 🙏🕊️🙌🪔✝️🪔🙌🕊️🙏

@@sethw7399 I think the boy was allowed to leave the prison after the beating, but I can't remember off the top of my head. It also wasn't Richard Wurmbrand's son, it was one of the pastors who with him. While there may be other instances where a pastors son died, this particular account from "Tortured for Christ" by Richard Wurmbrand took place as told in the video.

@@ChristianityCommons The son was killed right then and there. I bought the book because of this video. After the son said what he said "The Communists, enraged, fell upon the child and beat him to death, with blood splattered over the walls of the cell. He died praising God. Our dear brother Florescu was never the same after seeing this."
