Man 2022 optic was so good back then. During their peak, I used to watch yay clips as one of my warm ups before playing which actually helped me climb up and dominate my games. It wasn’t just yay’s peak but I also enjoyed watching FNS’s(fenis) IGLing, marved clutching on controller role along with victor playing neon/flex. Crashies kinda underrated tho but optic felt like a perfect team during that era.

Marved was my favourite player man. with the off-angle + perfect crosshair placement he sat anyone down.
I often wonder what would've happened if Optic had won Champions....imagine franchising starting without the defending world champions, if not under the optic banner then maybe at least all five of them under a new banner instead of what happened. What a wonderful video, I'm always upset that I became a fan of valorant esports during Optics win at Iceland, and now the team that once was is no more.
That rivalry with Loud was epic, that was peak valorant for sure. I miss those games so much.
38:58 I love how FNS just drops his headphones and it bounces 😂
Hell of a video. Documenting one of the greatest teams in Valorant and specifically my favorite team in any sport/eSport. They are my favorite because out of any sport this is the first team that I rooted for since the start and actually won a championship. I still root for the Optic core even how that they are under the umbrella of NRG and when other players like Yay or Marved are on other teams. Zeph try not to glaze Optic Challenge impossible even when a video isn't about them. Maybe I'm just coping with the fact I'll never see that team hoist the Champions trophy, but in that moment at Reykjavik it was euphoric. My GOATS Optic. Thank you. Great Job Commend!
Looking at the end of this video, I realised how close champs 22 was... Optic was leading every map before haven and lost all the leads... Throw city SADGE

Thanks for the video man. Fns part at the end really hits me.
INCREDIBLE video, and fantastic production! it's incredible how you can string together all these disparate clips - the matches themselves, the team comms, shots of the individual players, even the casters' voices to create such a cinematic experience. the music was beautiful too, it really added to the masterful tension and release, the lovely writing. i remember watching a lot of these games; this video made me feel like i was watching it unfold all over again.

Optic were really the villains for many, but that team was something else I feel I was a part of it all along, glad to have seen it all live and be a supporter of the team from envy days ♥️
bro its sad to watch this while yay and marved are not having a good run this year
this was a beautiful video. the best one from you yet. I think you have a perfect mix of telling a story, and looking at the gameplay and the context that surrounded the team. It was very nice to see how not only the team itself developed, but the game with them, just by looking at things like huds, maps, and production which are so different today. Optic's story is in a way incredible. Every player's name lives in the community in a beautiful at sometimes hilarious way. When you listen to pacific's 2024 anthem, when every cracked duelist is compared to the king of hell, or the discussion goes to the best duelists, clutchers or flexes. It is all there. Good job.
As someone who only got into valorant esports this year this channel has been good for catching up on what’s happened the previous couple years. I only know most of these players from the NRG team so it’s interesting seeing the past of this core
This vid gave me chills man, especially the ending where FNS said "We had the perfect team"

Genuinely the saddest thing about VCT is how many of the great teams just dissolve, recently it was EG, they join alongside LOUD, Optic, and PRX almost did until jinggg was able to come and same with NAVI with their stint with Cned before getting Ardis back. But imagine a top 8 in champs with PRX, OG Optic, OG LOUD, Lock-in FNC, 2023 Champs EG, GEN. G, NAVI, and EDG.

This was an awesome video, always a shame that they couldn't play together due to something out of their control.
The thing bout Optic was every1 meshed so well, like they could actually trust each other all of me. N they would all mostly be in the same page. Really hard to find such a team
9:52 funny how people reduce yay to only being good on chamber, but the next 3 clips are rifle/OP clips and not chamber clips. Idk why yay sucks now, but its definitely not chamber bad = yay bad, its way deeper
@kenarnarayaka
Ай бұрын
Yeah, especially when he got 2nd place with no Chamber. yay just needs a particular system around him to work, DSG and BLD definitely didn't provide that system
@MoistPeanutz
Ай бұрын
@@kenarnarayaka look at every great duelist you know. yay, demon1, tenz, derke, aspas, the list goes on but they all need a system of support players and it's not just how good those players are it's their chemistry. when yay was on optc fns did the best he possibly could to put yay in positions where he knew he could succeed and that is why they did well. there is no such thing as "washed players" ppl call demon1 washed but if he still had potter as his coach in that system he would be frying lobbies. it's the sad truth that this just isn't an esport where u see longevity

Commend you are the greatest content creator ever to be born .
both teams loud and optic are just shadows of what they were back in Reykjavik i shed a tear thinking about both titans and the prime of valorant competitive
Didn’t think I’d be crying today but here I am
Love that these guys truly wanted to represent OpTic and win for OpTic. Hopefully we see them back in VALORANT but this team will never be forgotten.
Legends never die ... They become a part of you ...
I started playing val late 2022 I never got to see optic play but still they are my favorite team as nrg even with them not finding success I love each player from the core and wish I knew about them in their prime
Loud were the best team pre frachising, but great video
6k views in 2 hours is criminal for this masterpiece
The fact that a single round and a failed classic right-click ended their year will always haunt me. If that crashies right click connected on to Sacy they win champs and there is no doubt in my mind. Even breeze was just unlucky asf.
2022 was the best year of Valorant no doubt. In terms of competition, story, miracles runs and popularity, 2022 was peak.
I was a huge fan of this team since the envy days, and that grand finals at champs was genuinely the most doable win in the world. Still think they were the most consistent team of 2022, placing top 3 in every international tourney, but so sad to see what’s happened now :(
Didn't even noticed I watched the whole 46 minutes, amazing video. I look for OPTC in NRG and I've just been pretty disappointed by them which is such a shame, I really hope NRG with their roster changes again can make me remember what OPTC was like. Such a shame they dropped marved though as much as I dislike the guy.
OpTic Valorant, we shall never see your like again. It was something special
I feel you give yay and marved a lot of credit in this but I'ma be real, I watched most of these maps and I was much more impressed by viktor in this series. Entry is one of the hardest and most dangerous roles to play well, and he did it super well. Sprinting your ass onto the site first, clearing corners and taking duels against monsters like Aspas, Mako, and TenZ is definitely one of the hardest roles to play in professional valorant. Viktor was first one in and still managed to be the last one standing in several of your clips, entrying and clutching with equal ease. His large agent pool allowed his team to run him in both raze and neon, and he was world class in both. Yes, it's cool watching Marved run in third and expertly trade two kills and win the final duel with a few precise shots, but we all should acknowledge that its only with a good execute and expert entry that this is even possible.
As an Envy fan. Watching them play Valorant convinced me to download this game after not playing it for the first couple of months. When Envy died and with me refusing to support our biggest rivals (I don't care if you call it a merge Stro sold our soul to the enemy so he could sell merch) I also seemed to kind of fall out of love with this game as well. This kinda makes me wanna pick it up again seeing the boys one more time 🙂
