If the director's argument was that those women didn't fall for him because of his money, I must say that the documentary does a pretty bad job at making this case. This is not to say that I think the documentary wasn't good nor that I didn't enjoy it. Among other things, it does show the pernicious side of the Disney-oriented idea of love that platforms like Tinder take advantage of.

Watched the Netflix show yesterday. These women were so taken with this guy right from the start because of his lifestyle. I don't know how they kept going with him, with moving and transferring so much of their own money around, as well as the credit cards. The one woman said, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!" after he sent her a 100k check, which never went through....what a surprise 🙆!! The signs were there, and it's too bad they missed the biggest one; just how full of himself he is. Best part were the eBay sales and pics of his "poor man's meal"😂.

it's the foundation that he built with these ladies. He showed them money is always there for months to more than a year before he actually requested for money. He made sure the girls are falling deep with him so that it's easier to brush off doubts that we would normally have if it were with say, strangers or people we dont know that well. These ladies spent nights with him, on bed, intimate, thought they seen the vulnerable side of the so called "billionaire's son". I understood why they did what they did and when they realized that something was wrong, it was already too late.

Why do you think he sets up the whole theatrics, to show exactly that, that he is a financially stable person and since he wants to live a luxury life he also needs to display that he can afford it, which in turn allows the women to trust his status and that he will be able to back up their loans. They are a victim of their own desires, fantasies, wrong judgment and poor decision makings. They gave their money not at gunpoint, so they have the time to analyze things but their analysis of the situation was unfortunately different and for them it went horribly wrong. It might be a mistake but it's just right that it happened, or else we have not seen in Netflix the game that others are playing. And most importantly, it it will serve a huge lesson for those who watched it and be smarter humans. No idea how many souls can be saved but one is not bad. he's the only one exposed but there might be tons of Simons around.

They thought they are gonna use his money, but in the end he used theirs. The irony.

It doesn't make sense for people to call the victims gold diggers when they were literally sacrificing their own money for what they thought was love or a friendship. It becomes more sad when you realize they weren't doing it for the money. I will admit however that when you want love that much, you are a danger to yourself because you are more easily manipulated. I hope these women find more love within their own hearts so that they don't fall so easily again. I genuinely wish them the best. Not sure why people have to show them so much hate. I met a guy from online who asked me after one meeting to invest in his company. I told him to get lost and he blocked me. These scammers usually ask for money quickly and find another victim if you don’t give in. He was good looking of course.

Never mind do what these women did which was to take out hundreds of thousands of £ of debt in their own names in order to fund this guy. Do I think this guy was wrong and should be in jail for his actions, yes. Do I think these women are victims, yes. Even my husband (as much as I love him) knows I don't play with debt. I pay my credit card at the end of every month (I only have one so I can build my credit score).

Unless someone was related to me by blood and I had looked at there finances myself so I knew they could repay I would never lend someone anywhere near that amount of money. Lets not forget this man was not there husband of many decades in need to help, he was some guy they had dated and had a crush on. What pulled them in was the (as they put it) James Bond lifestyle.. the fancy cars, the private jets, the hotels and casinos. They fell in love with a conman because they couldn't resist his game, they loved the lifestyle he offered them and the way it made them feel.. Never in a million years would these women have loaned money to a guy they had dated who worked as a mechanic lets say.. just wouldn't happen.
