Afaik it's part of the RA2 lore in general, since WW2 was heavily modified by Einstein's time travel and as such the Manhattan project also never happened, so nukes are in their infancy in the MO timeline, and thus, there was little incentive to develop ICBMs, too.

The Paradox Engine liftoff reminds me of a Douglas Adams quote: "The ship hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't"

Now that's some lore in this episode. So that's how the Soviets got their hands on the Gen 1 Chronosphere, that explains the mission with Rahn and Malver to capture it. Well at least good news for the Allies that they're fighting back, thank goodness that Paradox Engine got away safely before the SteinsTech Hanger was destroyed by the Irkalla, so all this time those missions were like bait for the Allied Commander so the Epsilon can make their move to infiltrate the London Fortress. No wonder why the trap was set for the Allies there. I can't wait for next part for the Allies' new toy!

there is an easter egg in a later mission where you fish out a coffin from a cruise ship and time stops for around 7 seconds. then you click in a road roller and a message pop ups with the dio line

Why must the Allies collab with Yuri against the Soviet general, far as I know in previous game runs? Neat how the Drakuv is actually a restored concept involving prisoner vehicles for flashbang victims in Generals. Oh, look, the Dustdevil is actually a Red Alert 3 MiG. Wait, have I forgotten, or is Allied Mission 13 - "The Mermaid" featuring the rescue of Agent Tanya skipped over? 10:28: Dang, they became more likable and terrifying, the Robot Tanks. 11:56: The manpower is lacking, but come on, the Allied Commander should have rectified that quite well. That "Allied garrison" fakeout in Allied Mission 16 - "Ghost Hunt" is just plain ingenious. Cathartic, regaining hold of the Mercury Satellite. Also neat how the Athena seems based on a similar mobile artillery unit in RA3. *Oh, that Second World War Chronosphere isn't the only chrono weapon in Yuri's hands.* 22:31: Huh. Why "Darker than Black"? 23:04: Reminds me of that Blood Elf secret tower defense mission in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. 24:20: Huh indeed. Seems it just did a Dio/Homura Akemi.
