Zeus could then have remolded the creature by transferring Medusa's soul into dead vessel of Poseidon's creature. Thus transforming her into Mermaid/Humanoid queen of an aquatic colony. As for the soul of the dead creature. Medusa would birth twins from the soul. Eventually she would mate with various men from the land above. Because she was eager to create a civilizatión. She would remain yourthful & fertile for hundreds of years. Neither Athena or Poseidon were allowed to interfere with her destiny. Because they were restricted by Zeus's mandatory jurisdiction.

@@PazzoScansafatiche Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades could not punish each other. Their powers were as great as each other, they were the three chains that kept pulling on each other so they wouldn't go around and destroy the whole universe. Zeus could not punish Poseidon because it wasn't his place, unless Hades agreed to punish him. Because Hades hated his brothers, he would let them ruin themselves. Besides, this isn't even the original story, it's a rip off from the Romans whom hated Neptune cause they feared the ocean. They also hated Minerva(Athena) because in Greece they loved her but hated Mars(Ares) whom the Roman's loved and adored. So in retaliation that Greece had given Ares a bad reputation, they decided to give Poseidon and Athena a bad one as well.

Imagine if someone came to visit Medusa not to claim her head but because they felt remorse for her. Perhaps a blind man who was once a proud warrior until he lost his sight in an accident and was deemed useless afterwards. Medusa would be able to actually interact with this man because of his lack of sight and they would grow a bond. He would visit her frequently and both would later develop feelings for the other because both could relate to each other’s loss.

Don't forget this story can be interpreted in different ways. The story the guy is explaining in the video was written by the Roman writer Ovid (which many believe to be the original version). Anyways, Athena did "curse" Medusa; BUT, you can also ironically interpret it as a form of protection for Medusa. No man shall force anything upon her ever again after that incident.

That's half true... Madusa was actually a AFRICAN goddess. She was the God of BEAUTY and had 3 sisters. She was beautiful, when men seen her, they stopped what they were doing and stared and her ( that's where the metaphor " turn men into stones). She DID get raped by that God ( madusa was a virgin) and that goddess DIDN'T believe her. She called for the other God to come cut madusa's head off ( that's how she died). Then the goddess scandalize her name, character, and drew images of her w red evil looking eyes and snakes in her hair. The ACTUAL description They gave was " hair like snakes"...WHICH WERE ACTUALLY DREADS. MADUSA WAS A BLACK VIRGIN GODDESS W DREADLOCKS AND THE EUROPEANS CHANGED IT TO A WHITE WOMAN W SNAKES. THINK ABOUT IT, BACK IN THOSE DAYS, ONLY BLACK PEOPLE GOT PUNISHED. NOT WHITES. ALL EUROPEANS CHANGED BLACK GODS/DIETIES & CULTURE TO THEIRS LIKE THEY CREATED IT......NOW THATS THE TRUTH!!!!!

Athena really liked Medusa as her priestess but she hasn't had any choice to punish her because she doesn't have the power nor the rank to punish Poseidon instead of her and if she did punish Poseidon, she will start a war between the gods and it will be the downfall of humanity when nature itself will fight each other.

Siva Jnana that's the problem with gods and goddesses, if anything offends them in even the slightest way they will bring a very unjust punishment upon whoever they so choose to which is one of the reasons why I've turned away from religion and religious cultures. I do believe that there is something powerful and of great light out there but I am not going to put a name or even a physical form to such a being because as I've said many times that's what causes big problems amongst mankind because everybody wants to think that their idea of who the Creator or creatrix is and depending on how zealous they are they'll kill you for their beliefs

Everyone knows medusa is innocent and Athena herself is jealous because of medusa beauty... Poseidon too, was one to blame! She didn't want him but he force himself to do that to medusa... this is one reason I don't blame medusa for doing all the bad things she's done! It's not her fault that she's beautiful, it was a gift but because of Athena jealousy and all mans cowardness and stupidness, she become a monster! If I had to choose between Athena and medusa, I would choose medusa and curse on Athena... and one thing, there is no one that perfect, Athena herself is not perfect, she is a hero but she's not perfect and medusa also is not perfect but she's innocent

Some stories say that Athena cursed Medusa for her protection and others say that it was because she was jealous of her and punished the wrong person. Whatever the reason was, Medusa was the one badly effected by it. She was an outcaste and seen as a monster, while Poseiden(don't know how to spell his name) was not punished at all. Sometimes Greek gods can be total jerks (according to their stories and mythologies). The sad thing is, some of the misuse of power and punishing the victims in mythologies happens in real life too.
