Universal laws, unchanging

He's been one of my favorite philosophers. And every quote I hear from him rings so true to me.

"Do not act as if you were going to live ten thousand years. Death hangs over you. While you live, while it is in your power, be good."

True if you have power status or money. Finding peace of mind deep in poverty and not the chosen kind is getting increasingly difficult to impossible

His commitment is undeniable. The man himself actually joined our podcast and has shown us a way into his thinking. The time capsule chamber is doing wonders!

I'm convinced that if Maximus was a real person, Marcus Aurelis probably would've appointed him emperor.

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is the name of the book that he wrote. There are many good books that discuss the book Meditations, Marcus Aurelius and the philosophy of stoicism. You can find great KZread videos about Stoicism.

While writing these words he also ordered the slaughter of thousands of marcomanni. Guess that didnt disturb his inner peace though. What not to love about stoics

Isn't amazing, that those people with, power, status, and money, always preach that these are the least important assets? Yet they never give them up either. 🙄

You should look up Epictetus and Zeno. Shared the same philosophy, yet had much different backgrounds than Marcus. And that’s the thing, stoicism is for everyone.
