What you are about to do has not been approved by the Vatican. As a young priest, struggle against demons, insane cultists, and your own weakening faith in this pixel horror game inspired by the era of classic 8-bit gaming and the "Satanic Scare" of the 1980s.

I think the reason Father Garcia threatens Jon is because he wants to save everyone at any price; he lost micheal, he's not losing another. He knows that if Jon goes free the cult will find him and resummon the demon with a proper host this time. So he's saving Jon even against his will. Also the reason he lets Jon go with Lisa in the good ending is becuase he knows that lisa will be their to keep his faith high and away from the cult

I agree. I think it also has to do with the fact that he views John as a capable priest in the good ending. We see John in the passenger seat in the variations of the 1st ending, and that's because Garcia doesn't fully believe he is ready or that his faith is unshaken. In the good ending however, John has fought relentlessly and it has proven to Garcia that he is capable and faithful. Whether he seeks peace or seeks war alongside Garcia, he knows he will make the right choices.

In the "Lisa Dies" ending, John is still possessed by Alu. Garcia most likely knows this and knows that John is a danger to himself and others until Alu is banished.
Priest + Catholic + Hates demons + has shotgun and crucifix = Badass 💪😎👌✝️⛪
Father Garcia's eyes don't look crazy to me in that scene - they look clear, the clearest eyes we get in the series. Its the look of a man hardened by conviction but willing to do what must be done. John is a perfect conduit, as Gary says, and his faith is shattered by that point. If left to his own devices without the protection of divine power, John is a massive liability and a potential future hellmouth himself.

Garcia has seen the darkness and did not flinch. He is the sanest man there. He knows what needs to be done and is willing to do whatever it takes to do it. He is dedicated to his duty as a priest and will die to fulfill that duty. The fact John is thinking of running away enfuriates him because he is about to abandon his vocation and duty as a fellow priest. So like a superior officer in the military, Garcia is not going to let him desert his vocation. John took a scared vow to fight evil and if he wants to abandon it out of cowardice then the only way he gets out is if he is dead.
As a Christian, not gonna lie, this game, and Father Garcia, made me get more and more into Chirstianity, more than i was. Christians can also be badass

I was wondering what Christians would think of the shotgun priest, now i know lol
But if Father Garcia is so desperate for allies, why does he, apparently, let you get away in the ending with Lisa?

I like to think that the Lisa ending is not the Canon true ending. Rather he goes off with father Garcia for a sequel, but good point

@@PatriotJax I still believe that both of these variations aren't the true endings. John probably did something to go with both Lisa and Father Garcia: *living in peace, with the woman he loves and saving the world, bringing light to everyone with his new partner.* Anyways, just a "head-canon theory" of mine. Can't confirm anything for now... also, I hope we get a Faith chapter 4 or any game related that can continue the Faith Saga. Until there, patience is our only guide...

I think that's because he knows you've done all you could and you have proven your faith. When he threatens you with a shotgun, it is because he is unsure of your faith and he believes he has to be the one to put you on the right path no matter what. In this ending though, you have fought a hard battle and I think he realizes you deserve peace too.

@@PatriotJax I think we, as the player, choose one of the endings and we see that, but i believe that both endings happened at once as in Jon goes on a journey with both Father Garcia and Lisa. Lisa would follow John no matter what and where he goes and Father Garcia wouldn't mind Lisa so long as she's demon free.

If you left alone, you'd be a possible convert for the cult, with Lisa you are a safe bet to leave alone.
The chaddest badass videogame character of all time. Father Garcia rulez! Also, excellent video Jax.

Father Garcia was always my favorite because he is a stalwart figure with an unchanging influence on the outcome... So, once John finds out he is either good or bad for the persecution of Evil, Father Garcia sees it in black and white; either he keeps Father Ward close to push back the Unspeakable, or he forces him to be close out of necessity (by charisma or shotgun). He is more important to the story for his baseline commitment than most would expect. Also, he's a wild card and just wonderful to see when he makes his entrances. 😎

In Garcia we trust. He knows the power of a Gun With One Bullet. ✝️
“We can expect God to do all the work” - Joshua Graham Father Garcia reminds me of this quote, literally.
"It's God's job to punish the wicked, I just arrange the meeting." -Father Garcia (probably)
Do one on Miriam next. She's definitely one of the most important characters.
I think that, even though its arguably not cannon, lisa ending having father garcia accepting jonh's decision, Shows that perhaps father garcia just really despises cowardice and uncommitment rather than just being desperate
Hopefully in next Faith game Father Garcia will give John a shotgun too, epic pew-pew fight

This is not jhon wick It's jhon ward So hell nah TWO GUN PEOPLE WILL JUST KILL THE UNSPEAKABLE AND BECOME THE UNSPEAKABLE
The reason why he doesnt let him leave is that when the demon is still in him during the thing and after its still there too
Glad to see you're continuing the series. Much appreciated

Ironically, both start with G, end in a vowel, and have 3 vowel in said name.
Excuse me Jax but I thought the game. Was called Father garcia game: The unholy triangle Says you in your stream
0:22 would have been a nice touch to make the cross reversed
More faith content!
Garcia is grey because he has seen the darkness that inflects creation like a parasite. It has effected him deeply, but it didnt break him. That is why he is grey. He isnt pure white and innocent anymore. But he hasnt let the darkness overcome him either. He is in many ways the ideal priest. He knows how dark the world is, he isnt naive. But he isnt broken by it and will never stop fighting.
Babe wake up, new PatriotJax vid dropped
That intro was so sick!! 👏
The point about Garcia caring for Michael is 100% true. In an Wendigoon interview with Airdorf, he confirmed this, and even said that Garcia blames himself for losing Michael to the cult. Just as John has lost Amy to the cult, so has Garcia with Michael. Personally, I don't think Garcia would've pulled the trigger. He is for sure a desperate man, but I think as a priest even he wouldn't go so far as to actually murder John over him not wanting to do his job. Obviously I can't say for sure, but I think Garcia is calculated enough to restrain himself.
Seeing all the respectful theory crafting and good vibes within this comment section has filled me with FAITH... oh and also determination.
If Garcia actually suspected part of Alu to still be in John, he wouldn't trust him so much with being his only demon-slaying buddy. John does a lot of battling against the cult by himself and the demon doens't really manifest himself. You would think John would see visions or hear voices caused by the demon manipulating his thoughts, but that never happens. It could be that Airdorf never thought of that, or he thought it might be too blunt, but I feel like there isn't enough evidence to give that fan theory much credbility. Also, in the good ending of Faith III Garcia and John act like best buddies and there isn't even a hint of suspicion. We don't know which ending of Faith III is canon (which is why I think having multiple endings is kinda BS, because you don't even really know what actually happened after finishing the game, you need to wait for lore videos, like this one) so there's no way to know for sure, but I feel like the ending where Garcia goes full Clint Eastwood on John is less likely to be the true one. But to be honest, I don't even think Airdorf really knows which lore path is canon yet. In fact I bet he's watching this video with a Word document with Faith 4's lore open on his second monitor. Aren't you Airdorf?

I mean, the only canon ending is the true ending, John faith has been restored and gary defeated

Just because Alu doesnt make himself noticeable, doesnt mean there isnt a part of him left within John in the ending, all he would need to is bide his time and wait for a moment where Johns faith is weak and he is alone to take over. If you wouldnt know that John got possesed, his reaction of wanting time to collect himself seems reasonable, but to Father Garcia, it could seem like Alu trying to get John away from him to get greater control over him and threating John is the literal best course of action he has since - if Alu is still within John, him dying would take a powerful host away from the demon and make sure Johns strengths couldnt be used for evil - if Alu isnt in John, letting him leave means potentionally losing a powerful ally in his fight against the Unspeakable, and even if John isnt a friend to Garcia, he is still a strong weapon against the demonic

Why do you think the ending where father garcia threating john is canon compare to other ending like say 'a new journey' ending?
@radekmilewicz6192
Жыл бұрын
@@DustD.Reaper So far every possessed character in Faith has been affected by the demon quite visibly, Amy, Michael, Gary, Miriam and different side characters. The demons in Fiath are fairly blunt, they will manifest themselves quite often, I don't see why Alu would try to play 5D Chess and hide inside John waiting for a chance to take him over. Why didn't Alu try to control John during his battle with Gary? Wasn't that the best opportunity to strike? Garcia threatens John in the "bad" ending just beause John is starting to act like a bitchass and Garcia wants him to get his shit together. I think that's the most reasonable explanaton.

@@zaipollizamabdulmalek5822 I'm saying I don't know which ending is canon.
Am I the only one who feels like father Garcia is like father Grigori from half-life?
Awesome
Yeeesssss
wha if Father Garcia and Lil Micheal Davies are related, would explain why they seem to care a lot for each other and they both seem to have Spanish origin.
