The Story of Dendi: The Face of Dota

Ойындар

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin is clearly one of Dota 2's most celebrated players. A fan favorite and a deadly player, since his debut Dendi has risen as not only the face of Natus Vincere, but in many ways as the face of all of Dota.
However, that doesn’t mean the road has always been smooth. From the glory days to the present, Dendi’s journey has been one of loyalty, perseverance and dedication. This is Dendi’s story.

Well, Dendi can leave whenever he wants and the organization can't do squat. John Cena canleave if he said enough and not extend his contract anymore. Na'Vi doesn't exclusively own him so that's what matters: his loyalty.

Na Vi died when Puppey left, and XBOCT after. They only have Dend left, it was team Dendi, not Na Vi. Now, its not even that. No point in Dota 2 anymore lol. They need to restrict these shitty transfers. Its like, every 2 months a team does 180. can you even be bound to that sort of team? Like, in one year all 5 people get swapped out, why should you remain a fan of that team anymore? Its more practical to be a fan of a single pro player instead.

The old gen know, the one who started playing DotA, not dota2, know the reason why we started playing. The game we started loving was for many because of him including myself. xmxuxe The reason Dendi fell into a decline of winning tournaments is because he sticks with old meta not the new one. See the highest dota mmr player now not Miracle but paparazzi, correct me if I am wrong. Just like the former Badman he sticks with the new meta. If there is a good new meta is released wherein Dendi will shine again and love him play again into the finals of competitive dota.

gamersstruggle Agree. Dendi has become an experienced player now, but he still sticks with his old style, including hero and lane choices. I mean, he cannot match other midlaners anymore in terms of flexibility, so why keep on using heroes like Sf. See s4, he still stick with his Puck, because he is so good at it, but he has shifted from mid role into offlane position, and his hero choices also changed. He is still performing well with his Centaur, BrewMaster, the tanker which requires more experience than flexibility to put on a show. Fix me if i am wrong, cuz it is just my opinion, but in order to improve, he has to change. It is not that his play was not good, but it is not suitable anymore, for both the meta and for himself.

actually, that's all on the draft maker and their captain. untill now, no body can really dictate the role picking decision of that legend. by knowing dendi's attitude in playing dota, he is the type of easy going person and some kinf of flexible. I believe he can easily accept the order if only the captain has enough confident and influence to the team. now the question is, is there someone who confident enough to give that command to him to play out side the mid role. so far, only puppey can be considered as some who have a big influence in drafting and we all know what kind of puppey in dota scene, a stuborn selfish player. but tha's the most important aspect for being captain in commanding the teamplay. the other captain so far just like being mentored by dendi. Now the only choice is, find a great captain who can command that legend, otherwise, let him be the captain. It's not dendi who in slump. It's Na'Vi management. (btw, sorry for my terrible english)

indeed...they said in some interviews that they need a strong captain who can make them do this and that...na'vi had/has good players but the team needs a captain whom they listen to,a person who can dictate the game and decision adapt to the new meta or loose..

This video brought tears to my eyes.. I''ve been a fan of Dendi and Navi since 2012 and I felt so much of both joy and heartbreak watching that team perform and watching that man perform. They might not attend TIs, they might not win tournaments or have a stable roster, but no other team will ever replace them in my heart.

When I went to TI4, I got to talk to him a bit before the game he was eliminated in and then once more after. It was really sad to see them perform so poorly, and he definitely took it hard, but I'm glad he ended up sticking it through and is still playing now, even if he gets older and doesn't quite match some younger players in technical skill, he's still clearly got what it takes and is a fan-favorite, so here's hoping for many successful years to come.

To be honest, I still considered Dendi as as a high caliber mid player (I am a noob but till today I am still amazed by occasional amazing plays in his stream). However as stated in the video, dota 2 has transitioned from playmaker/farming into Objective > aggressive play/synchronised team fighting into objective which clearly not Dendi's strength. As of recent epicenter, his lane is always solid even though against more better players like Miracle, Ana or Midone. Nonetheless, really hope the current roster will rise again since on paper they are actually capable of being top 5 in any tournament .

they need to find better carry. pajkatt always underfarm every match even with terrorblade.. and also general always get destroyed in his lane and feed too much. just my opinion. need better offlane and carry. i dont know about biver. i didnt see any highlight play from him. also sonneiko isnt the same as last time before he leave navi. But they really need to replace pajkatt and general tbh

  • @limmmful

    @limmmful

    7 жыл бұрын

+xxmikaelxx123 Well from recent lans, pajkatt (safelane) is technically the most contested lane in most game i watched. Most of the time he spend time recovering back from the early contest which then limits navi's movement and sonneiko ability to roam around. And to be honest, i keep having this feels where biver is not really performing his role as post 5. Most post 5 is capable of babysit, pull and deward in a correct timing but from what I watched it was sonneiko and dendi who directed (pinging) the team where was warded and who to go to in a teamfight (and this is actually a very unhealthy trend since if post 4 and post 1 are forced to tinker about gameplan, it very hard for them to create plays). Without a solid leadership/direction, navi have been playing as 2+2+1 all the time. Talking about general, well he has been getting some of the worst match up ever (imagine having clockwork, ET and any support with stun on the opposite lane.). The worst of all in all the epicenter matches, general as always been given heros with good escape mechanic (batrider, darkseer , clock.... wait a second, i think he only play this 3 heros in the lan) which also means that particular hero is kinda meaningless without crucial item. Navi should really apply their previous strategy where their post 5 (artstyle) stay in lane with general to have better start (and of course who I am to suggest that, all i can hope is they know whahts the best for them).

It shows how big Dendi's drive is, because even after their roster imploded several times, and just hits rock bottom, he can get back up again in a glorious blaze. At the time between TI5 and TI6, Navi actually took the scene by surprise with their aggressive playstyle again, as if they're getting back to their roots. To be able to get back up from that hole is impressive.

The first time I saw Dendi played was back in 2008-2009 when he was playing with DTS. He is kinda like YaphetS, a pub star with his Pudge.

Call me shit or whatnot, but i literally cried watching this, fuck! Why cant dendi be happy again, i want him to win again. I mean the dude is a good person and why are people talking shit to him? I dont understand! Dendi! Im a solid fan! In a world full of miracle or sumail, and in a world full of EG, SECRET, or LIQUID, i still support a team called navi and a player named Dendi! Even if u lose, i still support you, even if you're losing, i still watch your games. Even if you went 0-8, i still watch your games! Navi and dendi! I hope you will come back to winning games! Good luck dendi! Good luck navi! #Navi4Life #SupamidaDendi

louise rizarri they're never gonna comeback. Sorry bro. It's time for Na'Vi to disband and Dendi to retire. It's over for them. They couldn't even win Kiev Major. Their home city

Dendi can still play but not for na'vi. Na'vi is not good at handling their own players, look at puppey and koroky, they left na'vi to have better oppurtunities.
