Robert is so talented it's borderline unfair. I absolutely love the fact that Rick can pinpoint Robert's influences at the drop of a hat. I was NOT expecting to learn that there was a straight line between Antonio Carlos Jobim and Interstate Love Song.

Interstate Love Song is my favorite song of the grunge era, which is saying something as there were very many brilliant songs. I liked the whole album and listen to it to this day.

The song automatically sets me back to a specific memory, it had that type of an effect on me. It’s a time capsule.

That man is bad as fuck on the bass and has inspired my bass playing for about 16 years now. And he's such a skilled songwriter too! Much respect.

Interstate Love Song makes STP a top 20 all time rock band. I was so lucky to see them in concert. Such a great show. Scott was so charismatic. I treasure that as one of my memories.

STP. My favorite band. I've seen the full interview, but every now and then, I watch 'em again.

"Interstate Love Song", has that Jim Croci "I Got a Name" feel to it. Would love to hear STP do a cover of The Guess Who's "Undone".

Robert was always my favorite element of STP- his writing and bass style really was such a huge part of what made that band magic

I love Robert's songwriting. The perfect balance of melody, simplicity and complexity.

My alltime fav song by STP. Was lucky enough to see them in NY with Scott on the '08 reunion tour

This has been a favorite song since I first heard it ~30 years ago!

Man, I love Roberts bass lines in STP. Such an underrated bassist. Interstate is in the list of my all time fav songs.

He is a brilliant songwriter and musician!! STP will always be one of the greatest bands of all time!!

I love Robert and Deans chord and genre knowledge! To write Bossanova, Jazz, or even ragtime chords and make them grunge was unlike anything we ever had in the 90s.

Definitely one of the awesome 90s songs of my youth, used to knock the wind out of me when I heard it on the radio as an 8 or 10 year old. Still does. RIP Scott 🙏

Interstate love song is my favorite song off all time… The lyrics, make sense when he talks about “southern train” it makes sense they recorded it at “southern tracks”. Not sure if it’s similar but I’d like to think it relates.

Saw them at William and Mary hall in Virginia. In 95, I think? Right after the purple album came out, and they were getting big. Awesome show!

That's what I love about STP, their music is so well structured, you immediately unconciously know they are extremely talented and educated musicians. It is not just make music sound rock, is rock with a lot of knowledge behind it.
