well considering what happened a couple decades later they were right to be worried (the aids epidemic wiped out about half of the gay and bi men of that generation, there's a picture of a gay man's choir from after the epidemic and the original pre aids members wore white, there were only four of them out of a group of thirty something) (the American government refused to look into a cure because the American populace believed it was divine punishment for being gay)

The whole premise of celebrating such minorities is to tell minorities that they should be proud of who they are instead of being discriminated for it and hoping to be a different gender, race etc. Just to avoid the hate. Hindsight and history is on the side of the LGBT movement. Those who reject it will be remember as no better as the people who yelled at Ruby Bridges when she tried to go to school.
At first I was a little disappointed that it was so violent but then I remembered that in order for black people to have rights there was a war so this went pretty well actually

0:35 As an Anglican, I'd like to note that while Abrahamic religions have historically taken a negative view of LGBT people, contemporary biblical scholarship casts a new light on many of the verses that have been used to justify this bigotry, and there are a growing number of churches & synagogues that accept LGBT people for who they are. For example, the verse from Leviticus mentioned in the video has historically been seen as a blanket condemnation of being gay, but when placed in its historical context can be understood to refer to activites as part of a ritual connected to idolatory.

Okay, so here's the problem. The culture has created (as it seems) only two sides. Those who complain all the time and whine about being oppressed, and those who hate them and speak violence against them. It does have to be this way, so called "christians" on both sides have not obeyed the laws of Christ. So, we have two sides at war, so now what? We look at true Christians, who know and love the gospel, and spread true love. What does this mean? Loving your neighbor, truly, means bringing them close to Jesus, and showing them how to repent, turn away from temptations. We do this, and it's peaceful, and kind, loving, and if we are turned away, then we'll go on to others.

Homosexuality wasn't really accepted at any point though. In ancient Greece it would depend if you were a top or bottom, if you were the sub/bottom you would be no difference from a woman back then so not that good, and Greece among many European countries, wasn't one single defined country. You had Athens, Sparta, Ithaca, Macedonia, Crete etc. Sp while one state may be "okay" eith homosexuality, another would might kill you. And in the medieval ages you said that it would also be okay but again, not really. In the medieval ages (along with ancient Greece) it usually wouldn't be an open consenting religion between two adults, it would more often than not be a young pre-teens castrated boy being used by a king, lord, priest etc. For most of history, homosexuality wasn't accepted and if it was, it wouldn't be the same as it is now and there would still be alot of "rules" that would decide if it was okay.

Not 100% sure but this is how I understand it: Sexuality is a spectrum, and to include every label would be impossible without an acronym five miles long. The best solution is '+' to remain inclusive to everyone

There are many more sexualities and gender expressions. For example Intersex, or asexuality. So sometimes is written as LGBTQIA. And there are even more possibilities (Pansexual, Allies, 2 Spirited, etc). So the + is just so symbolise that there are more and not just LGBTQ People. Sometimes the term GRSM (gender, romantic and sexual minorities) is used to describe the LGBTQ+ community. I hope that this term catches on as it is all inclusive and not "unusable" long.
