I don't know why people want rate cuts.. Do they want stagflation? I don't think the fed should cut rates for a full year at the lowest. I'd rather wait until like late 2025 or 2026 unless we get close to deflation.

cost of equity used to discount cash flows is directly affected by risk free rate of return, which is the yield on government debt. inflation does affect it, but hardly anyone buys and sells stocks based on the discount cash flow model. I enjoyed the video but I think it was a bit unclear what point you wanted to make about interest rates and corporate valuation.

I think the thesis of "explosion" on rate cuts might be overblown. After all the rates wont go back to 0 instantly, if ever. The frenzy was a 0 % interest frenzy. Frankly I think it doesnt matter we had great markets with 8% interest
