One of the only guys from this era who had such a position of power and none of the artists had anything bad to say about.
Adam is so good at coming up with relevant questions on the fly and keeping the convo going. Even after getting a short answer he has another question right away

Bruh had the illest artist lineup and put out some of my favorite all time albums ever created. Mobb Deeps The Infamous probably my favorite of all time. Sonically what they had created in ‘94 ‘95 was game changing.

What steve is saying is analytics dont determine a career/ longevity. Virality is deceptive because its a false sense of success. Impact of the people is the foundation of success as an artist. That takes years of building an organic audience through word of mouth and in person shows not necessarily ads or 1 viral song. Numbers online don't equate ticket sales album sales/ streams or a true fanbase

Back then Album were the thing bc you had no choice but to but the album to be able to tell how whack it really was. you couldn’t even return the opened cds. There were 15 songs and only 2 of then were decent.
