Ойын-сауық
N.O.R.E. & DJ EFN are the Drink Champs. On today’s episode The Champs chop it up with legendary Record Executive Steve Rifkind. Best known for being the founder and chairman of Loud Records and of SRC Records. Rifkind signed artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Big Pun, Three 6 Mafia and more!
Steve is the inventor of the “Street Team” and in the 90’s / early 2000’s his methods and strategies helped revolutionize the way artists campaigns were marketed and promoted. Steve shares great stories about working with the legendary Quincy Jones and Jimmy Iovine.
As Johnathan Rifkind and Randy Acker join the conversation, Steve Rifkind shares historic stories about legends such as Big Pun, ODB and Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Grew up listening to all of these Hall Of Fame Artist and more. Mr. Rifkind Thank You.
Legendary episode. I got emotional throughout because I could feel the love in Steve’s heart and the love in NOREs heart! This is what life is about sharing love and giving people their flowers and helping one another. Steve is a solid guy! God bless him and his family always 💕

I was signed to SRC in 2004 right after joe sold steve the terror squad project that he had completed on his Atlantic budget for $150,000.. I got my deal like everyone else our mutual friend sat next to Steve on a flight and had 55 of my songs on his iPod Steve said "I'll sign him" I was on the road wit akon & richoccet b4 I actually inked... Steve called me at 130 a.m Jan 20,2005 and asked was I" ready to work" I said "can't wait" he told me my single was going out for test presses...10a.m that day I was remanded and my bail revoked for a 2&1/2 year old case.. I got 5years for a hammer.. I watched and missed akon and tpains whole careers on 106&park from prison. After being wit kon at mtgs at interscope for tpain... Just my story .. ...yea it sucks but it's all FACTS

Steve and Efn looks like brothers
ODB jumped on stage when they lost to Puffy, real hip hop died in the 90s on that bullshit. Awesome interview with a legend. Only 15 minutes in. 40 minutes in just listened to 30 seconds of a "Ryriff" song and I am sad; at least the song was less than 1:40 seconds.
🔥💯
Nore DESTROYED at least 3 of his own questions before Steve could fully respond and describe scenes and situations that I AND THE FANS LIKE ME WANTED TO HEAR! Steve Rifkin was part of and responsible for a hip hop pedigree that is unfathomable and unrivaled in the HISTORY OF MUSIC! And I wish there was another way to get more of his stories without nore silly ass in da way. That man walked wit the GODS
Rifkin knows all too well about what Russell was doing. They ALL participate
Need Nelly on he broke barriers in hip hop not co signed not signed by def jam bad boy roc etc first album diamond not many
Wait so did Raekwon get the extra $25,000 when Steve threw the chair?

Everybody’s not a culture vulture, some of these dudes loved hip hop when they first heard it. That term gets way over used everytime a white guy talks rap.

Steve is anything but a culture vulture! He gave rappers a shot when other labels passed them on. Do some research on who Loud Records put out - they were the 1st street team! Don't speak if you don't know the history!
