The Stately Homes of Norfolk: Hoveton Hall
A privately-owned Regency manor house completed in 1812, possibly one of the finest in the county - its Gardens are open annually, so this opportunity to explore beyond the front door is exciting. With thanks to Harry & Rachel Buxton.

Hello Rachel Thank-you for taking the time to comment on the video. I agree, it is indeed a calm and peaceful house within delightful gardens. If you are in Norfolk you can visit the gardens on certain days of the year.
Have wonderful memories of staying here 3 times with my boys when younger, we rented east wing and waking up to the sheep walking out the front was so lovely and walking the grounds at night when the gardens closed, you can imagine the years of history here. Mr Buxton senior told me some stories , and Mrs Buxton senior was so lovely and welcoming and even brought some cakes in. Havnt been for quite a few years, my boys are 16 and 22 and I’m sure they would love to go back for another visit, I know I do and meet the next generation of children running the estate after mum and dad… lovely family ! 💞🙏

Hi Joel - yes, it is a fascinating house, and you are quite right, the family are delightful. The children are all grown up now, this was filmed 9 years ago! And thank-you for the kind comment about the series, I'm delighted to have enjoyed watching them.

Hi Kimberly, and thank-you for taking the time to watch the Stately Homes episode of Hoveton Hall. It is indeed a charming home. I would have liked to show more internal rooms but as it is a private residence then I respected the owners wishes, and just filmed inside those rooms that they felt comfortable showing me. I hope you enjoy the other Stately Homes too - there are two more in the editing suite so hopefully they can be added soon.
What a lovely couple! They are both so kind about the house, children, guests and the gardens! I enjoyed these episode the most of this series! Greetings from Holland 🌷

No plans at this stage to film anymore of the wonderful stately houses we have here in Norfolk, they were created between 2014 and 2017 under contract to a local tv station. But you never know !

Magnificent gardens. My dream garden.
I wish the music wasn’t so loud.
Norfolk is notorious for the intermarriage of its close relations. If the result is a couple as friendly, as resilient and as generous-spirited as this, tending a house that had been in danger and bringing it back so superbly to life, through pure love, then fetch me a cousin.
At the Mico College a house is named after this family and a bell tower.
The old guy in the hat's not a bad presenter.
Are these the Buxtons concerned with the Lady Mico Trust.

Hello Peter - I have asked the Buxtons if they are connected with the Lady Mico Trust but it seems not. I hope you have enjoyed viewing Hoveton Hall, there are several other Stately Homes to view as well in this fine County of Norfolk.

Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us. I thoroughly enjoyed viewing the content. Can you imagine my arrogance in assuming the connection between The Lady Mico trust and this family. Thanks for putting me straight .
Absolutely jarring that upper-class English people used such poor English grammar- "as him and my mother together transformed the house" and "it fitted well with Harry and I and our family.."
