Most people believe that a measure of success is what they are able to buy, as if that object is an extension or an appendage of them self. What I love is the self confidence I find or my ability know my value when others look at me with over inflated egos as if they were smarter or of more importance. Yes, I live way below the national poverty line... Its a place Ive been a long time...but with that im a survivor, adaptable and know where true value lays in this life.. . Once a judge tried to shush me during court.. telling me . ." You might want to watch what I say...it might add more time to your sons charges " (this happened to take place in a make shift court room in the hospital ICU room after he went AWOL twice in one day and was permanently injured) I replied " Im not afraid of the truth ..if it brings more charges so be it ...then my son will be held accountable... .. What Im afraid of is other people involved dodging accountability." Which was them ...the courts dodging there part of what happened to my son who was in there care when he got injured.... If you have ever been involved w juvenile justice dept. Anything that happens in there care seems to go unmentioned.. sealed...for whos protection.? Where is reform or rehabilitation happening when double standards are so obvious ..even to these kids. How are they suppose to believe that justice is fair , correct or unbiased ? Where is public confidence in this system to be found? Simon everything you speak of is noble and of a higher moral integrity. Good for society on a whole and motivates others. Even if we never meet (although with your name involved attention to fixing this problem might gain momentum) you inspire me to work on helping these childen who are in the courts care to get what they have been without....a feeling that they too are important and have value .. Simon Thanks for shining bright enough to encourage and inspire others to do the same .

As a millennial, I feel entitled to only feel excited when I actually care and know what I’m talking about. Otherwise, my presentations suck, I stutter, and I don’t make any sense. I felt my self esteem plummet, as if something was wrong with me. I can’t pretend to feel excited about something which doesn’t actually excite me. The feeling I got often making presentations in college and even at work after I graduated. When I present topics I care about, I feel graceful, thoughtful and helpful. Makes me feel like 2 very different people. Really situational. Don’t allow yourself in a position where you don’t feel good. Push to find what you’re good at and transform THAT into your passion.
