Levon Aronian on his style of Trash Talking, romantic side of himself and US taxi drivers.
The FIDE Grand Prix 2022 is a series of three chess tournaments and the final qualifier for the Candidates Tournament. The top two finishers will qualify for the Candidates Tournament 2022, which is the final qualification stage for the World Chess Championship 2023. It’s organized by World Chess. The broadcast is commentated by Chess Grandmaster Evgenij Miroshnichenko and Woman International Master Jesse February.

    @@sitting_nut Levon was saying that in the Soviet school you diminish the opponent while in the Brooklyn school you praise yourself. Dina didn’t seem to get that, suggesting that the Soviet school is “more polite” instead. Not a big deal though, she’s great.

    I think the template questions should be atleast slightly customised for every player. I think the last 2 questions for example were borderline inappropriate considering Levon recent-ishly lost his wife in an accident. Glad he seems to be over it by now but questions like this will kind of remind him of it.

    @@GMPranav whoa! you don't need to use magic etc words.. he came to play a tournament and Samay, Sagar etc did a lotsaf fun stuff and he participated very well along with his girlfriend and he looked happy and moved on You are just reacting a bit too much, more than Levon actually 😀 Instead of over thinking, enjoy the fun

    @@unemiryune9322 well it's a loss for russian community not to have Levon among us. Kramnik and Kasparov are not Russian Citizens anymore. They share their best ideas to players from other countries. It's a shame Russia has no money to pay for such brilliant players. Who is going to be next chess champion? Not russian.

    @@matvejkap Каспаров тренер сборной США. Он давно уже все силы тратит на успех их сборной. Крамник живёт в Германии и тоже не готовит наших шахматистов. С фируджей он занимался, например. Речь же идёт не о интервью, а о том, как у нас поддерживают шахматы. Следующий чемпион тоже будет не из России, скорее всего, вот тебе и шахматная страна. Обидно, слушай

    Levons Wife died in 2020 after a car crash. She was a professional Chess player. Have some mercy with the man and not ask him some questions in this direction! Good lord!!! Unbelievable... Her name was Arianne Caoili. Look it up. Really grinds my gears. Prepare for this interviews and not asked him about maybe the greatest tragedy of life.
