The South Carolina Off Road Trail You Probably Haven't Heard Of
May 2024 I set out to drive the South Carolina Adventure Route solo. Not only did the trail have some surprises for me but had me heading home early with only half the route completed. I hope you enjoy this overland adventure and come back for the next half when I redeem myself in the completion of this route. I find it can be difficult to find overlanding routes on the east coast so I hope this video can be of some help in discovering your next route.

You're in more dire need of a hitch winch and a Stanely coffee mug than anyone I have ever seen. Love what you do. Camera work is awesome. I know its a lot harder than people think. You have cracked the code of making people feel like they are along for the ride without the "look at me" obnoxious and narcissism, so many youtubers have these days. Good luck

Best comment I've gotten so far😂 Thank you for watching!
Great video! Next time your out in our neck of the woods being North Georgia or South Carolina let us know you missed a lot in the Sumpter National Forest! You rode some of our favorite trails! Keep making Videos!
Great video man - live in the low country and we hit sections of the SCAR all the time. Such a solid mix of calm and less than calm.
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Dude the drone work and b-roll is super impressive, keep it up. You’ve got it next time 🤙🏼
Great video! New subscriber from VA.
I was like take me…. Until i saw your truck in a mud pit. 😮
New add here. So fun watching you and I'm only 13 mins in. Keep on keepin on 🤙
Really well done. Sorry the SCAR gave you a bit of a rough start. Looking forward to Part 2!

Me too, thanks for watching!
Welcome to South Carolina! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
That sucks man. I have seen too many puddles like that here in Florida that look deceiving. I was like "Damn!" when the front entered and just dropped. That's what probably caused your starter issues. Great video though...I enjoyed it.

@@lyleSchmidt Alot cheaper than a OEM starter.
Next time you come down to run the scar let me know I live in SC and have a lot of Toyota guys live All through SC. So if you ever get into a bind I need help. You can always reach out. We can help also. Definitely you need to invest in which especially down here but also great video
Well for starters, don't drive thru using I-95 😮 My kids went off to college in FL and never came back so between visits to them and dive trips I was way to familiar with I-95 This year migrating north we took 121 out of Florida thru Georgia, SC and picked up I-26 in NC Time wise it was about the same but a lot more interesting. Maybe next time I'll use the LR4 and try the Scar
I would love to do the SCAR sometime.
Come on back to the SCAR when you want to finish it! Hit me up, maybe I can wheel it with you!
alternator was wet
How was your engine bay after that mud pit? My wheel wells are cut out so that is a NO first me. Use to rock crawling or dry or hard trails not wet.

Mud is harsh. Destroyed my old jeep’s half shaft as it got a rip and then packed with mud!
