me too, i never thought she was into theater before...ang ganda-ganda ni risa hontiveros, kahit noon pa as a teenager (as in this clip)...

just love watching this... seeing Monique, Lea, Raymond and Menchu so young. When I started going to the theater they were all prominent theater actors from Rep.

So you rather like the trashy, tacky, dumbed down entertainment these days...wow, post-EDSA sure was progressive! I'm no fan of Marcos, but why when overthrowing a dictator, you threw away the baby along with the bathwater. Now, my generation (90s babies) have become stupider, more subservient, less creative and innovative. Wow, even the English by the hosts in this video are far better in diction than today's TAGLISH crap. I don't regret overthrowing Marcos, but it doesn't make me despise less of the Aquinos, their lies and their incompetence.

@@aglayamajorem9546 Yet it was Imelda Marcos who supported the arts so we have the CCP until today, Repertory Philippines of yesterday....and also MOWELFUND. Anyway, I was a martial law baby and used to hate on Marcos but realized years after EDSA that Marcos has been vilified to the max when they were not as evil as portrayed by the Aquinos. They were not saint either but there were things that the Marcoses had started that should have been continued. Now, anything Marcos is evil.

One of the good things during those days was that English was very prominent in local TV. This was most evident then in RPN 9's News Watch with Harry Gaser, something that I wish local news has kept. But of course hosting wasn't really all in English. Even way back then Eat Bulaga was already in Tagalog.
