You! Yes you, the guy that is about to comment why I didn't show stats or didn't use Pestilent Mist on Deacons: 1) Check the video description, I left a link with the build stats and other details. It didn't occur to me a good way to show my stats back then, but on newer videos I do! 2) I tried to stick to magic damage as much as I could and since Deacons isn't detrimental to progress in the game before Irithyll, I just left them for later. Only switched to Pestilent Mist on later bosses when I was truly stuck without it. That said, you can use it on Deacons for sure, the sky's the limit baby!

I left a link in the description that will show you what the stats should look like at SL 120. However, showing the stat progression is something I started doing on the newer guides.

I don’t usually watch longer vids but this one kept me very entertained! Great editing skills made me laugh several times.

I was looking for a good guide for my sorcery play through and found this absolutely perfect video but when I saw I the Skyrim intro I was laughing so hard.

I know this is an old video but holy shit, I picked up dark souls 3 again, going with the comfortable knight build and I thought that I had a hard time surviving but this build has always been wary to me because of its spell casting time and low health. I'm scanning videos such as this to see the variety of builds and options that I haven't explored in soulsbourne like games and honestly, seems like a worthy challenge to try something i'm not entirely used to. We'll see!

Great guide.

I used this on my own play through. I admire the editing and composition. But I feel some note in the description about when you are hitting certain levels beyond the build planner would make it easier, since I find myself a bit perplexed about where I’m going beyond my 60 Intel. I did do some co op, but as a one bro I figured I’m entitled.

It's hard to state a route for leveling since there are so many paths to choose from, it really depends on how confident you feel on your skill as a player. For example, if you are good at dodging attacks and have good knowledge of the mechanics of each boss then you probably won't need a lot of levels in VIT. Knowing how soft and hard caps work comes in handy to help you decide how to level up efficiently. In my newer videos, I show a stat progression at the beginning of each location only because it was requested by some people and I believe it can help as a base guide, but it doesn't mean that the way I'm leveling will work 100% for everybody.

You'll notice that's a pattern when you restrict your build to only casting spells lol

Would it be more efficient to use a Follower's Sabre with a crystal infusion? Also, why 35 attunement? Because 30 is the breakpoint for 5 attunement slots, 30 is usually the LVL120 meta. Other than that, these are some really nice numbers. Usually, I'd expect the Prisoner's Chain to be used for min-maxing, but any magic build that has decent stamina and high HP is something to behold.

That would defeat the purpose of this build since the idea is to only depend on your spells for the damage output. I went with 35 Att because you still gain a decent amount of FP until that point and allocating those 5 levels somewhere else felt like a waste. You can allocate them to Vig or End instead if you prefer to.

Casting also costs stamina, so getting END gives you more freedom to cast more spells or to have some backup stamina in case you're about to be slammed by a boss and have to dodge it.

@@Vithark So it would seem. I've done pure caster builds before, but, despite how much I prefer them thematically, they always give me an extremely hard time. I'll definitely be trying some of your strategies next time I play.

I think that really depends on each person lol. Personally, I feel it's way easier to deal with the orbs rather than the laser.

The way to get to it starts at 10:27, but it can get confusing if you haven't been there before. I would suggest to search for "how to find rosaria" if you want a slower version of that.
