The actor playing Dr. Cusamano is the late Robert LuPone. In no particular order: He was the original Zach, the director, in A Chorus Line on Broadway. He co-founded MCC, a major Off Broadway theater company. He was Broadway diva Patti LuPone's brother. Nice guy. Good actor!

I'm confused about your question about the screaming..... Did you miss the part where he's working out? He's lifting weights. That's what the screaming is. It's grunts of exertion as he pushes up weights on the machine he's using in his garage. I interpret the whole thing as a red herring. Cuz you wonder if he's torturing someone or what the heck is going on... then at the end you just find out he's working out 🤷‍♂ It's possible he's working out to compensate for his feelings of vulnerability and that's the deeper connection but in general I just think it was a thread of mystery to hang the momentum of the episode on which resolves by the end with something as harmless and inconsequential as "Tony works out in his spare time sometimes"

  • @bluebird3281

I think he was just trying to get a few more reps out of his bench presses and making that noise is part struggle, part inspiring himself. Fairly mundane but it sends Melfi and his neighbors' imaginations wild. The John Gotti Ice cream truck story was just Tony messing with those guys, notice his hand motion when Tony demonstrates how Gotti rang the bell the whole way home.

2:52 I used to work in Dublin Airport. Every year for Saint Patricks Day, a massive number of American tourists come over because they think they are Irish. I'm an American of English, Irish & Scandinavian descent..with a little Cherokee in the mix. My dad's family came over from London in the 1680's & my mother's came from Dublin in the 1870's. Research has unearthed some interesting stories but even before that I've always felt a strong pull toward the music, literature, history & lore of the lands, people & cultures behind my DNA. It stirs my blood & I'm proud to be descended from each of those cultures. An English gentleman(?) once referred to us as Amerimutts & I guess that's one way to put it. I haven't visited Ireland or England yet but hope to eventually. And I'll be one of those excited people at the airport. Warm regards from an enthusiastic Kentuckian Amerimutt and, who knows, possible long-lost, distant cousin.🤗🤣 🇬🇧🇮🇪🇸🇪🇧🇻🇩🇰🇺🇲... ...& if there was an emoji for the flag of the Cherokee Nation, I'd include it too.🩵✨️🩵
