This longplay record album was released in the USA as PTSLP-531 by Pine Tree in 1975, and is part of my personal collection. I ripped its contents for my enjoyment and created this video hoping to share it with others who appreciate hard-to-find and obscure music. At age 87 and living alone I listen to this type of music and it keeps my spirits soar ....looking so forward to seeing my savior and won't be surprised if I find these singers up there just singing their hearts out! God Bless all God's children where ever they are and whoever they are!

This is absolutely beautiful! What a blessing! So heart- lifting.Great singing and playing. Glory to our God! Many thanks.
I was privileged to be a member of this group for several years. Even after I had left, I assisted in recording several albums with the Sons. I played the lead guitar on this particular project and sang the high baritone. What a thrill to hear these songs again!!

These are the kind of songs I do in churches. I'm looking to start booking soon. I have recordings for anyone interested in booking my group.
,my name is Darryl shinault the fiddle player on this recording is harlin kazy - I knew harlin kazy all of my life he was not a perfect man but he loved jesus with all of his heart - harlin was born October 14 , 1919 and he passed away july 30th 2010
These fellows really had good rhythm! The recording acoustics sound real good. This recording, now dated 43 years old as of (2018) has STILL that Gospel message - direct to the hearers. I like it! Reminds me of that "country style die-hard Christian church" that makes all toe-tap some. Thanks, Brian for adding this to your large collection for KZread listeners for "the music".
"He's alright" is incredible
These guys rock !!!

For a short time, 1988 - 1991, while working at W.S.L.R in Akron, Ohio a man named Don Igo would bring in his own records for a Sunday afternoon Bluegrass show. Don did a great job and as I was only 21 years old in 1988 Don none the less saw my appreciation for Bluegrass and ask me to fill in for him during his vacation times. His established Bluegrass fans were always kind to me. Good times, love the Bluegrass community.
God bless you brothers
its great to find this, ray hall was a friend of mine , I sang lead with the southland gospel [ jim lovejoy ] boys for ten years , and ray would come and be on the radio live with us quite often, in canton ohio, he was a fine man, he gave me a couple of his tapes, also recorded a song of mine , THE TEAR STAINED PICTURE , we recorded a couple of tapes at his recording studio in gallion ohio.
love it
I working on my house today and was very nice to hear the song.
Praise Jesus! You posted this with integrity and God blessed you all with great memories.
This is a wonderful album of great singers and musicians. I am listening to the album while reading the great comments.I grew up on this kind of music along with southern gospel in Ashland, Ky. Sang bass in a quartet. It's nearly impossible to find a church with this music any more. Being born in 1933, I have heard all the changes in music from the Carter Family to now in Sept 2020. I am in NC now and can report that this music style is alive and well in Boone, NC. My four great nieces are part of it, they are the Burnett Sisters, look them up on utube, you will enjoy them. God bless all.
I'm so glad you posted uncle Ray songs I miss uncle Ray and aunt Bonnie
amen and THANK you
Thanks!
Love This Group, Have Never Heard Of them, But I Love Them, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
What a wonderful thing to share. Great plating and singing. I love good string gospel music.
love this album
So surprised to see this album on KZread but am very thankful! My Daddy is Charles Cadle the one playing the mandolin. He is the only remaining living member of this recording. The Sons had many members of the years & several members are still living. The members on this recording were Eugene Turner of N. Ridgeville, OH, Harlan Kazy of Clevleand OH who at one time was the fiddle player for Kitty Wells. My Daddy Charles Cadle from LaGrange OH. Ray Hall the leader of The Sons from Galion OH & Bill Lyons from Mansfield OH.

I love the name man. I've got the peghead of a blue one tattooed on my upper left arm. That looks like a red one in your picture. Is it an original 5 string & would you sell it? lol I am seriously looking to buy one. I want one with its original hoop ring.
I think I used to listen to y'all on my crystal radio about this same time. Dad helped me build the radio, and we strung a wire across the yard as an aerial (earl). I've loved gospel bluegrass ever since!
Thank you for sharing the tallest one playin banjo is my great uncle bill lyons born and raised where I’m from olive hill Ky we have a few copies of this he gave us

Yeah, "some" just might be the understatement of the year in my book. I played banjo for him & Dave Marshall about 2 yrs back in 2000. I'm on 4 cuts of the Album "From a Cabin To A Mansion". Joe wrote that entire album & there isn't a mediocre song in the bunch. They're all great!!!! Joe's a standup guy as well.
Amen..
Love!! Anybody got anymore of their recordings to post on KZread? I could listen to them all day!
