The Sons of Sceva | Acts

In Acts 19, the Church at Ephesus was experiencing some radical, miraculous power through the Holy Spirit. When Satan's demons called out the Christian imposters, the simple truth of the Bible cut through the worldly deception and lies of non-believers. True Christians are called to KNOW Jesus, not just know OF Jesus.

I just wanted to tell you it blesses me to see you serving in your divinely given call as a pastor. Brother he will come to you at the strangest times! I was agnostic for most of my life and at the age of 29 he came to me in a dream on two occasions it was incredible! I’ve always been incredibly skeptical because let’s me honest it does sound far fetched but one night I got curious because I never pray but I just prayed that whoever was out there to show me a something I couldn’t deny, not only did I get one dream but I got two lol I prayed that whoever God was to please reveal themselves and I was low key hoping it was Wotan and Thor😂 but there he was The King himself Yeshua, ever since then I just accept it and I understand there are just certain things beyond my understanding and now im completely fine with it.

Man, I met him during an NDE. I was a close friend of the LaVey family, and a Satanist of 22 years (was raised Lutheran). Now, I didn't know it was Yeshua. However, I did know that given that Satanism is based om atheistic grounds, after watching all the predictions he gave come true, I could not deny that my experience was real. Given that the experience was real, I had no choice but to walk away from Satanism, as it was based on a false premise. I immediately started seeking the God from my NDE. I went to churches and temples, and couldn't find him. Then I began reading the Bible FOR MYSELF, and saw the forgiveness and absolute love that I had experienced. I went from viewing "Commandments" as warnings against the decadence of sin, rather than a megalomaniacal controller. I began to understand the stories within, differently than friends and ministers of several denominations had insisted I understand it. I now FEEL God's presence, PHYSICALLY. I feel it like a firm hand on my back, that makes every hair on my body stand on end, whenever I ask a question, and the answer is affirmative. I see God, in the eyes of every person I encounter, and treat them accordingly, as if God is watching through their eyes.... because he is. He showed me my entire life, switching back and forth, in every interpersonal interaction, between my eyes, their eyes, and those of the Holy Spirit... including thoughts and emotions.... so I KNOW he's watching, always. He let me see my dead father, after my life review, to forgive him for things I couldn't when he was alive. I'll share something insteresting I picked up. The mind drives the brain, but IS the spirit. Separated from the brain, the mind/spirit cannot deceive. So, in the end, it is not HIM that judges us, but our own soul (which is, in fact, a piece of God, gifted to each of us). This stuff isn't necessary to know, but I find it interesting. I'm on the spectrum, and am hyperlogical, and have to know something inside and out, and the why and wherefore of all its parts, before I can trust something (anything... technology, philosophy, and even God), and given that HE made me that way, gave me exactly what I needed to trust him. Another interesting thing about the physical presence of God, is that when you are with him in the spirit, you know everything HE knows, and he directs your attention to what he wants you to take from it. I know I learned A LOT more than I can access, but wasn't allowed to bring that knowledge back... but strangely, even though I can't recall it directly.... that sense of trust, as though I completely understand it, is still there nonetheless. Some of it, comes to me, in the moment I need it. As long as I trust it, everything works out, miraculously well. So, I'm a little different than the average Christian, in the sense that I've never BELIEVED there is a God. I once "believed" there wasn't a God. Then I had my experience. Then I told myself for 3 years, that it was a hallucination.... as I sat and watched every prediction come to pass, with exact detail. NOW.... I KNOW there is a God, and that he is pure love.

I really do appreciate you guys sharing your stories with me! I wrote my comment with hesitance because the last thing I want to do is offend somebody if that makes sense lol. I have personally had things happen to me that could not be explained by what I consider “science” and leans more towards that “supernatural” aspect that most people look at with skepticism. I have a science background so I love data, evidence, and the scientific method for determining “truth”, but as I get older I’m left wondering what “truth” really is. Whose “truth” is it? My truth? Someone else’s truth? I guess I have a fear of being wrong in my “truth” and believing something that can not be be held like a physical object, you know? With that being said, I’ve always believed that there is something out there that’s much bigger than us, something that had a hand in creating this, almost surreal planet we live on.

Thank you Pastor Lovell for this faithful teaching, standing on the Word of God. The greatest Man in history, had no servants, yet they called Him master. Had no degree, yet they called Him teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. His name is Jesus Christ, (Yeshua Ha Mashiach). Do you know Him? A far to often misunderstood teaching of our Lord is found in, (Mat 5:39b, Luk 6:29a). When people are unaware of historical context and fail to pay attention to detail they will continue to misapply and not understand the clear doctrine/teaching of Scripture. In the Roman era turning the other cheek to someone didn't mean doing it meekly to just let them strike you again. It meant turning the other cheek making them aware you'd done so, you were taking a stand. Christians are not to be doormats, they're to defend their Lord with His Word, themselves, their families and all those around them from evil, (Luk 22:36 &more). Our Lord Himself commanded we be armed even if it meant selling outer clothing that was for protection and comfort, so we could protect ourselves, our loved ones and those around us. We must also always be armed with the Sword of Truth, (Eph 6:17, Heb 4:12, Rev 1:16-2:12-2:16). I must add in defense only, the Gospel is never to be spread by force, only by and with the proven Word of God, (Psa 119:160), as is the clear doctrine of Scripture. Eze 33:8-9 are just one of the examples of stern warnings to those who witness evil and do not speak against it, condoning it by their silence. We see so many quoting, (Mat 7:1), even unbelievers, misunderstanding and twisting what our Lord was teaching, in their attempts to silence righteous judgement. They of course ignore, (Mat 7:2-5), in which our Lord tells us to first make sure it is with and in His righteousness we judge, (Jhn 7:24). Removing anything that could obscure that righteous judgement, ourselves and our own failings must be understood and put aside, before we can see clearly. With the Word of God first informing and giving us all truth, (2 Tim 3:16-17, Eph 6:10-20). Do you think the Apostle Paul was speaking only of himself in (Eph 6:19-20), or was he teaching us all to pray to be given Jesus' truth, for the strength to speak that truth boldly, after having put on the whole armor of God? We can and must take a stand as we are commanded to call out evil we see all around us, take no part in it and not remain silent or allow ourselves to be silenced, (Eph 5:11 &more). Sadly the day is coming and already here when His truth will be censored and hidden from those who need to hear it most but His Word tells me what I must do. Should I do as man says or the LORD, we should all know our answer to that question, (Act 4:19-20). Truth is rarely found in the halls of power in nations, (Pro 15:27, Pro 29:4, Amo 5:12). What we see all around us was prophesied over 2,000 thousand years ago, (Mat 24:6, Mar 13:7, Phl 2:15, 2 Tim 3:1-5, 7, 2 Pet 3:3-7 &more), that mark these times leading up to the last days. Think about, (Pro 15:27, Pro 29:4, Amo 5:12), and what they tell us and then read, (Isa 58:2, Mal 2:9). Never forget, "but God". We have recorded for us in, (Gen 3:15), what is known as the "protoevangelium", it is the very first promise of our Lord and Savior to come. From before creation our Father in heaven knew He had to save us and that is why He came/sent His Son, (Jhn 3:16-17, Jhn 10:30, Jhn 14:10-11), to do for us what we could never do for ourselves, (Col 2:14), freely and loving giving us the Spirit of Grace, (Eph 2:8), salvation, eternal life, found only in/thru Him, (Jhn 14:6). I believe that only a Nineveh type of revival in this nation can or will save it, (Jon 3:5-10, 2 Ch 7:14), if we still have time. We know He's always listening and hears our prayers, (Pro 15:29 &more). We do not see the US anywhere in Scripture, (without a stretch), not even in end times prophecy. We are watching many of the prophecies,(Phl 2:15, 2 Tim 3:1-5, 7, 2 Pet 3:3-7, &more), that mark the end times being fulfilled before our eyes in this nation, the west, the middle east and around the entire world. They are coming true faster than ever before in human history and it does not take a rocket scientist or great theologian to see it. Humble yourself, repent, pray and cry out to Him, He will hear you, (Pro 15:29 &more). Pray for peace, correction and healing in our own land and across the world. Pray for the peace, prosperity and well being of Israel, (Gen 12:3 &more). Pray for protection, provision, healing and guidance, for the truth found only in and thru Him, (Jhn 14:6 &more). We must pray and repent of our sins to Him, the only name Jesus Christ, under heaven by which man must be saved, (Acts 4:12, Phl 2:9-11). So get out there my brothers and sisters and proclaim the Gospel of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ, (Tit 2:13). Take a stand, speak His truth boldly, God Bless, God Bless Israel and God Bless the USA, (if He still will on the last one). (Num 6:24-26)...

The weapons used (temptaions, even) are; Lust of the flesh, Lust of the eyes, and the Pride of life. We think backward from GOD, in Our flesh, and go 'Pride is the root of all sin', but then We see what GOD Says, and -B O O M, Lust, Lust another way, and then Pride; the Flesh, the World (anyone who Loves the world, The LOVE Of The FATHER Is Not In Them), and Satahn. I made the mistake that the Lord revealed to me , I was Prideful in anger because I held on to the feeling like a grudge and even though I thought I forgave I still held on to the hurt and my heart would fill with scenarios and ideas of how the people who hurt and offended me would some how pay for the repercussions and I realized That it was that negative thinking that spiraled me out of control with wrath and vengeance for myself, and ultimately was destroying my relationship with my family and friends because I was Prideful and wouldnt let go and unknowingly sought to Avenge myself and my feelings and ego .. and I had no idea I thought "pride" was feeling TOO Good about something.. anyways after realizing my Obsessive thoughts were keeping me prideful Ive been able to stop the thoughts before they got my emotions writhing and I hope that helps anyone else like God intended to help me :)

I got to Add - I realized the anger about life or whatever that caused me to punch a wall or yelling to release the anger was Just My own Self and/or ego Avenging My uppity and hurt Emotions . Anger to Vengeance , Vengeance to Wrath , Wrath to Destruction.

When Jesus died we want from obeying laws to living by the spirit. This was a transformational shift to a spiritual battle and our minds are the battle field. Choose wisely, choose the Holy Spirit.

What you talked about with Paul and handkerchiefs is still happening with the Saints in the Eastern Orthodox Church. There are people that are paralytics and touch the garments of say, St Nectarios of Aegina. His cloak was placed on a paralytic after the Saint reposed and the paralytic left to his feet and did the sign of the cross praising the Lord. Check it out.

Thanks for another great message John. Question, the sermon censored by y’all (on threat of deplatforming) or is KZread getting handsy with your videos?

  • @Fullsendfilosophy

If you don’t censor certain words per KZread guidelines they will put a strike on your channel and make the video 18+. Much like baseball 3 strikes and you’re out. They want their videos to be available to all so they censor words to keep them from age restricted
