about the main characters saying they would go on their own way in frontiers, maybe that doesn't mean that they are gone for years in a far away place. maybe they are doing that stuff but sometimes they reunite to hang out, or sonic dream team is a little bit further in the timeline than expected and they just came back. but i feel like dream team is just canon 'cause of the "everything is canon" thing, bc the whole game fills like filler story-wise. didn't watch prime and honestly don't really care that much, maybe in the future when i'm more interested

It’s really good that we got some more Updated on the Sonic Timeline and the Sonic lore is pretty crazy. When Sonic Dream Team released I Was always wondering where did Sonic Dream Team take place? I really think that Dream Team could take place after Frontiers or before Frontiers. I’m really not upset that Tails, Knuckles, Amy didn’t go on their own Adventures. Sonic Prime fans that hate Sonic Prime you should be happy that Sonic Prime is going to end in three days. Sonic Prime Season 3 is going to be having a crazy ending and figure out why the show is Canon?

I don’t get why people are mad about Dream Team being after Frontiers. The characters could very well be doing their own thing in between games off screen. I feel like that should’ve been a given, but maybe someone has a good argument. I’m looking forward to see how Prime ties into the canon. It could end with a preboot, but I’m going to wait until I watch the show to find out. I don’t really want to make any predictions and be mad when I find out they didn’t come to fruition.

Not to mention amy at the end of frontiers said she wanted to make her journey a road trip with sticks now modern and CREAM meaning she probably went to sonic when she learned cream had been missing who went to rouge

Shadow is calm to sonic in sonic06 so this preboot theory might be true

That prime theory could be possible especially considering it’s fairly similar to the super genesis wave from the Archie comics which Flynn did write. So this could be his way of implementing old story beats into modern canon. If I’m not mistaken he also did this with the metal virus arc. I remember hearing that he had originally wrote that arc for Archie prior to it being cancelled.

I dunno if they're going to mess with that. Most archie characters are owned by a man with a not so good reputation.

When you think about it, the "Prime" in Sonic Prime suddenly makes a lot more sense if it's meant to be a prequel to the whole game series

I think the emerald Shadow dropped. If prime is a preboot, that emerald becomes the new Master emerald.

I was really hoping that Sonic Prime took advantage of the shatterverse and gave us interesting worlds like what if's kinda like New Yoke and not the Boscage Maze or the No Place Shatterspace. (I still don't get why there's 5 Eggmans and the fact that he doesn't appear any other shatter space.) I also wished they at least show references to other Sonic universes like any other Sonic media that isn't mainline. I do agree that the theory about Sonic Prime is just going to basically change into the mainline verse by rebooting everything, making it not canon just like 06

There's 5 Eggmen in New Yoke because while they do represent a different facet of the mad doctor, there's nothing truly distinct enough to warrant them being in all five shatterspaces. Each one is so distinctively and definitively Eggman (his ruthlessness, leadership, showmanship, obsession with technology, and childishness) that no matter what way you look at them that they can only really fit in one context: a world under the Eggman Empire/Chaos Council. Unlike Tails' trauma (Nine/New Yoke), inner child (Mangey/Boscage), need to feel useful (Sails/No Place), and loyalty (Ghost Tails/Ghost Hill). All of which describe Tails, but don't wholesale define him like the CC do with Eggman.

My no.1 wish for Prime is that Green hill will be revealed by retcon to have been a shatterverse, and tie back to the STATED IN-GAME LORE in Sonic 3D Blast, that Flickies can travel between dimensions. It was always there in the lore, just as weird concepts like Sonic being the dream of some fighter pilot's mascot character. Prime sonic should be stated to be 1/5 sonic, and the Sonic we KNOW, himself only, a 3/5 Sonic, with addition of 2 new characters who were always part of Modern Sonic. Shadow and Silver would be Shatterverse Sonics too, and this whole 5/5 combination, Mr. Hedgehog, would be like a fusion dance between them all and a new super form. However, they shouldn't actually reach the full combination at all but jsut end it in failure like FLCL capturing of Atomsk.

I would like it if Sonic Prime takes place after Sonic Dream Team. Because in Dream Team it’s explained why Rouge is with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy, since she got kinda hired from them to find out information about Eggman and Cream. In Sonic Prime I found it a bit random than Rouge suddenly is just with the main four, it taking place after Dream Team would explain it, since she is probably waiting to get her reward so she stayed with them.

I'm hyped for Prime Season 3! It's wierd what some people said about your opinion on that tweet you posted earlier today. I feel like Prime will be very important to the Canon, because they did kind of confirmed what takes place when, and the thing is that a lot of things still coming that will add. It makes sense that the team doesn't want to ruin a surprize on what happened first before whatever, or maybe they want to keep it a secret. I feel like people have their own thoughts and theories on what happened before this and that, and words are like key for their opinions. I can't think of any predictions, but I'm sure we'll get more information as time goes on with like upcoming Sonic games and other stuff. If I had to predict, I'm sure Prime is Canon is some way.

Wow ok this is a topic that I was discussing with a follower on Instagram and now after watching this video and dissecting the theory of Sonic Prime being a prequel to the entirety of the mainline Sonic games does that also mean that it's possible preboot to Sonic's tv shows before Sonic Prime as well? This is a lot of Sonic lore info to take in and we can speculate as many possible outcomes as we want! Out of everything explained here I will say that Sonic Dream Team taking place after Sonic Frontiers does make sense! I'm eager to see how Sonic Prime supposedly makes all of what we know in the series now happen!

Its good that we get updates on what games takes place in the sonic timeline for those who enjoy the Sonic Lore im hyped for Sonic Prime Season 3!

Crazy theory right here, what if the preboot theory is correct, and the chaos emerald that Shadow dropped ends ups somehow becoming the Master Emerald in the new universe? That'd explain why Knuckles isn't in Angel Island and there's no mention of the Master Emerald

Personally I always thought it would make more sense for Sonic Prime to take place before Frontiers. Mainly because of the writing. Sonic just seems more mature in Frontiers compared to the way he's written in Prime.

Honestly, since sonic adventure started to add humans and sonic 06 was a reboot in some way, it would make a ton of sense if the timeline was reset, since the adventure games changed so much about the classic games. But it would also be sad, so I feel like they wouldn’t do that…. Kinda sucks how that theory is unlikely, it’s too good to be true.

if we're gonna take Sonic Prime seriously as part of canon then it definitely has to take place after Sonic Generations because in Prime, Sonic refers to Green Hill by name and has a deep love for it but in Generations he sees it and he's like "this place seems familiar" so in Generations it had been so long since he'd been there that he didn't even really remember it all that well but in Prime he's calling it by name so clearly Generations had to happen first and perhaps he started visiting it regularly with the others after that

I kinda wish we wouldn't even bother trying to fit prime in the games canon at all, the show is just not the sonic quality most people want associated with the games especially considering most of the games have bad moments, prime is filled with inconsistent characters and sonic is arguably the worst iteration we've seen of him and thats including pre-genesis archie sonics character. I just hope that they revert everything about prime to a very likeable conclusion.

Sonichub one thing I noticed in sonic prime season 3 is the in the first episode when nine uses the paradox prism it starts to become black around the edges which means nine may actually need to extract the prism energy out of sonic

I don't think sonic is a series where they really need to make a timeline and certain projects can just kinda stand as their own thing. Like the movies for example. But hey pretty cool that they're just deciding on making a show that people aren't big on part of the timeline even though it has different voice actors and is a whole show so nobody would mind if it was its own universe but no they made a cool product that people worked hard on and they stand by it

i have a theory about the emerald shadow lost, it might sound a bit out there, but hear me out. if the prime universe does become the game universe, then what if the emerald shadow drops becomes the 7th chaos emerald that sonic finds on emerald island in sonic 2 (since sonic 1 only has 6 emeralds), again this theory does sound a bit stupid but it might be possible.

I don’t know why but I feel like Sonic Prime Season 3 isn’t the end! I know call me crazy but there are many other shows that lasted up to more than 2 Seasons! Amazing World of Gumball just got confirmed for a Season 7 and the Alvin and the Chipmunks Nick series ended after 6 SEASONS! That’s a long run especially for the Chipmunks! Meanwhile as for Sonic mostly every Sonic Show ends after 3 Seasons but I have a strong feeling this may not be the case Sonic Prime has succeeded a lot in the franchise no matter how cringy the Show gets Sonic Prime is a show with many surprises and a fourth Season wouldn’t be too big of a surprise if anything it would be a huge success!
