The Sonic GDK Games Collection
This video showcases 10 Sonic GDK games as a nice collection of those kinds of games. All of the games are on extreme settings and at 4K resolution with a smooth 60FPS. Sonic GDK (short for 3D Sonic Games Development Kit) is a codebase, a collection of source codes, which allows anyone to create 3D platformer games based on Sonic the Hedgehog. Please note that some of these games showcased here have more levels than what is shown. Also, I muted the audio and added replacement music for 2.5D Sonic 1 because the original track used was copyrighted.

I remember watching Green Hill Paradise act 1 1000 times til my uncle bought my first Sonic game (unleashed) thinking it was the same game. Good old days
GDK is overall pretty unpolished, I'm curious to see more projects use Bumper and Dash Engines, as Infinity seems to be oversaturated with pretty mediocre projects that focus on visual fidelity over the gameplay. These are pretty good for what GDK is capable of though!

green hill paradise act 2 is actually really good, well the flying is not that good but the gameplay with normal sonic is great.

Sonic Incursion is also a pretty good one that uses GDK. Top quality 2d style Sonic fan game.
