Just a thought, Jinwoo's fight with the snake was about Determination and Desperation. Hiroyuki's ost there was fine but could've been better. I believe your preference of an edm soundtrack would be best suited when he is at his peak and overpowered.

Yeah... I'm not a fan of this anime at all...and I wouldn't say that the original song is "perfect"...but i just have to say that i hope that this girl is never allowed to choose soundtracks for any project in the future.

It's brutally obvious in your example that the original soundtrack fits a million times better. I disagreed with the entire video but I was entertained I guess.

nooo way .I'm sorry if this comes up as rude but there is no way you think that second part ''Battlecry" sounds better than the original ?.I have to agree to sum part its not the best but that battlecry sucke's and again not meant in a rude way .I also do think dub is better that sub . Aleks Le does a really great job of going from a soft voice (eps 1 - 4ish) to a daddy voice in eps 6.I agree solo leveling is just a damn good storyline and I truly hope for the best .AND it needs a part 2 ,season 2 would be like almost at the end with the monarch war.

I just think that it's a poor story, so far at least. Jinwoo suddenly going from weak to strong both in ability and persona in the space of an episode is poor writing imo. It's one thing gradually building it up but the sudden change was jarring. Plus there are no other solid notable characters other than Jinwoo at this point, and the ones weve seen haven't inspired much. Idk, i think the marker of a good anime is that it makes you feel something and so far i don't really get anything from it.

Even though I like Solo Leveling quite a bit, even I wouldn’t exactly call it “a good story”. The manhwas main appeal was simply that it was super entertaining. The art was beautiful to look at and the paneling made every action scene flow really well. And I think the anime seems to be doing the manhwa justice. As far as the actual story goes, it’s just another power fantasy story. Boy start weak, boy level up, boy strong and edgy. It’s just that the actual execution of this concept is much better compared to most other power fantasies. The growing stronger process, while still fast, takes some time and a lot of effort from the protagonist. He also doesn’t get any harem and his main goal is fairly selfless. Jin-woo doesn’t care about praise or recognition, he just knows that he is strong, so he needs to take matters into his own hands. All these things are what made SL enjoyable for me. But if you still aren’t on board after episode 7, then you might just drop it, it probably won’t change your mind later down the line.

As a manhwa reader, I have been disappointed in the adaptation, I have no complaints with the fight scenes, soundtrack, voice acting and animation, I thought they were great, but I have hated with all my being the original scenes that were introduced. The explanations have been repetitive and redundant and there are other scenes that really only clashed with the chapters. Hate all interruptions. I think Solo Leveling could have shined more if it didn't have filler.

As a Manhwa reader, I actually think the anime is better. By a mile. Please bear in mind, English isn't my first language, so sorry for some possible errors. I feel like the anime is doing everything a proper adaptation should. The animation isn't JJK S2 level quality, but is still very good. The voice acting is great. The OST is, in my eyes, also great. Also I think that some of the changes done benefit the overall story (Cha Hae-In scene aside). Probably the most (and best) changes I've seen so far were in the latest episode so far (episode 7). For example, in the anime Sung was thinking about him killing people a lot more. In the manhwa he kinda just brushed it off, making him feel much more cold and heartless. There were also some small changes done throughout the entire episode. And his fight with the Cerberus was much more intense and went on for noticeably longer, than in the manhwa (he literally got hit like 2 times and then killed the Cerberus fairly easily), showing us that even though he has gotten much stronger, he still isn't strong enough to take on an S-rank dungeon. I understand that everyone wants to see Sung Drip-Woo already, but reducing some of the insane edgyness, at least at the beginning, makes Sung feel more relateable as a protagonist, before going full power fantasy mode for the next 50 episodes till end. When it comes to episode 1, I don't mind the slower pace at all. They added the Jeju Island raid at the beginning (anime original), which helped to establish that dungeon breaks are a big deal and gave us some nice action scenes. Rest of the episode was mainly dialogue, which isn't a bad thing, and ended at the beginning of the Statue of God scene as a cool cliffhanger. Attack on Titan EP1 literally has pretty much the same structure (starts with a fight, most of the ep is dialogue and exposition and ends with a cliffhanger) and that is regarded as one of the best first episodes in all of anime (SL EP1 isn't quite as good as AoT, but still is very good). Speaking of which, the end of EP1 and entirety of EP2 were insanely good, as far as direction goes. Made the situation feel much more intense and hopeless. That's pretty much all I had to say. I still respect your opinion tho.

Your video came out yesterday, but the show is up to episode 7.5, and I'm really annoyed they wasted my time with a recap episode. I read the light novel and had been told the author died. Watching your video, apparently, it's the manwa artist who died. Whoever it was, I doubt they'd be happy with how this has been adapted so far. I'm giving the show a 6/10 for the time being. Later episodes might improve things, but I doubt it.

You might not like the animation style CSM was going for and that’s 100% fair, but in no way is it objectively terrible. There were like 30 seconds combined of some “bad” animation in the entire show combined, but everything else was A or S tier stuff. The show was stuffed with near constant incredibly animated character acting, high detail on model drawings and amazing sense of weight in the action. Try and prove me wrong.

@@NeoNaitoI was hoping for a more detailed example but whatever. I can pretty much only think of a couple of scenes that could be seen as """terrible""". Yes, there were a like a couple scenes where the CGI looked a bit janky, I do agree with that, but other than that? The entire rest of the fight was one incredible scene after another. It's fair to criticize a specific scene/scenes that don't look good, but if you call an entire show terrible looking because of a few seconds out of 5 hours worth of content, then you failed to prove your point, especially if you don't even bother to properly explain it. If you are interested, I recommend watching Probably Pretentious (7 min) or MankoMan (56 min) videos on CSM EP1. Both pretty much make the same points I would and explain them well.

@@jacob_yakesh7304 its a situation where "if you know, you know" like claiming that lightsaber fights were great in the prequels. When anikin literally throws his hands apart for no reason while count doo doo does a 360 no scope hand slice on him. Point is, chainsaw man has several turds in it. Sword of the Stranger is peak animation. Chainsaw man had a lot of rotoscoping. Solo leveling has several good animations. Chainsaw man is barely a step ahead of berserk cgi as far as I care. Advent Children literally tea bagging that shit.
