It's a cool kit, problem is that they sent production models out for people to review and told them what to tell their viewers and then promptly ignored any suggestions that people had. Even to this day people are so mad that they didn't include a 3x2 viewing option which is the native resolution of the gba, instead they have a 4x3 which squishes the output feed or 16x9 which stretches it.

Thanks for the info. I saw the wrong aspect ratio in the video immediately and wondered whether there was an option to correct it. Completely lost interest in it now.

That was such a stupid thing. The aspect ratio of a GBA is closer to 16:10. And I was like why is it 16:9...

If it makes you feel better, the entire Gameboy series had among the worst speakers ever used in a handheld device so it's not like it's worth preserving for any reason except legacy

I seen the "Special" door cover also... not everyday one of these pops up. Taking it apart is fine; especially if it needs cleaning or repaired, but to mod it just because... geez, grab a regular one or something. Lol But this mod IS a drop in meaning totally reversable, without modification 'sep for that speaker wire. 😢 Ps I like the video 👌 Thanks for the info

@@notanetcher no it’s not just a regular game boy that’s a super rare game boy I’m sure the serial number on the motherboard to I’m pretty positive that game boy there was only a few hundred in Maine and it was only sold in the store in New York for a few hours so it’s one of the most rare game boys around he should’ve just took apart a regular game boy not that one

Consolizer mods like this have existed for a while, but the cool thing about this one is it's completely reversible also with no soldering (Minus the removed speaker)

Well since it's a mono speaker setup it would actually be very simple to reinstall, all you would need to do is twist the cables back together and wrap them in some tape (preferably electrical tape)

just turn the volume down on the gameboy itself and dont remove the speaker because the consoliser thing has its own sound output

Well at least the speaker is easy enough to replace. Otherwise there's nothing damaged on it. Especially since nothing gets soldered.

@@TZ_ You need the player and the boot up disc. Or you can hack your GC to use the GameBoy Player without the disc. The GBA can be used as a controller if you have the link cable.

Bro Nintendo already did this back in the day. They had this attachment called Gameboy Player that you attached under the GameCube and it let you play your GBA games off your TV. It sold decently well too. I remember my cousin having one for his back when I was a kid

Eh, you realize GBA emulators are the most heavily used emulators there are, not to mention the amount of them, but many myself included, would much prefer real hardware, given for one thing, just how much better the audio is via real hardware, FPGA has got pretty close if you are using a decent DAC & DSP.

The ape escape ost is always top tier. One of, if not my favorite, game

Love the Japanese Pokémon center GBA it’s my favorite variation of the GBA

I love these kinda KZread shorts that actually show cool stuff with no annoying TTS voice and loud unnecessary music.

We can all ready play GBA big screen by GB PLAYER or emulator

I have this. It's alright. Supports Bluetooth controllers. But better to use the 8bitdo SNES wireless adapter and either the NSO SNES pad or an 8bitdo.

Metroid Fusion is my all time favorite childhood game. Still play it to this day. I beat it about 4 thousand times.

Output a PC to a tv, emulate gba, problem solved. MGBA is a great emulator on PC and mobile (via retroarch app) Actually playing zelda Oracle of seasons on my android phone right now and I didn't need to solder or cut off anything lol

Super Nintendoa super gameboy doesnt run gba games or gameboy color games. Some game had a black and white mode but not all of them

Great choice of game. Metroid fusion was my first videogame I've ever played and I still love it and consider it one of the best games ever

That's actually pretty cool! Of course, it's just easier to use an emulator on a computer, and then share the screen onto a TV. Either wired or wireless. 😅 Along with a controlled connected to the computer.

I love it 😍 I used to play that as a kid 😅

Emulate 3ds games, pc or mobile, citra works on PC very well. Just stream to a tv or hdmi it depending on your setup
