My 3yo son loves watching these films with me. Sometimes he wants to play that he is making coffee over open flames, then he "drinks" it and makes the thumbs up, and says "Jag är Erik Normark" ("I am Erik Normark"). Then on saturdays we have to go out in our forest and really make a fire. So inspiring!

I am sooooo addicted to this channel !!. Great job Eric. Did any one notice at 2:03 in the video there was a "Snow Bow" coined from the term rainbow. There wasn't much green red or blue but there was amber, yellow and a hint of orange the shape of a straight column going down the middle of the screen just before the wind chimes showed up. Got to love the internet, Erik is chasing winter weather nature scenes and here I am watching them as I prepare for a Tornado Chase in Tennessee USA with a storm spotter crew. 4:00 AM is the predicted arrival time of a big turbulent system. Funny Erik and I are at opposite ends of the globe but kinda sorta doing the same thing. Watching mother nature. And I wonder why I have had 4 heart attacks!! Great job Erik stay safe.

Thank you, Erik. Today I went to my usual sunday hike in the Alps, the cold season is advancing steadily here too, chilly dry air and powdery snow. I've learnt from you not to aim for performance and find a pace in line with nature and its forces. I found myself going for shorter hikes and allow myself to wait and observe. I found peace and enjoyment today, my memories are plentiful: shift in light, odours, sound from the wind, wildlife, the melting snow. Thank you.

Keeps it simple in making fire and fire wood . Nothing crazy with axes or saws to make it complicated. Plus I don't see protein packs etc. Luckily , you could live on coffee (easier the better ) ✌️😄

Next nigth I will do my first solo winter camping in a pre built shelter. Last winter and wery early spring i did test my gear in cold. Not very cold. Öland and maybe a few below zero. Thanks for inspiring.

At 8:43 mark that fire would of been a nice cooking fire for a Steak & Potatoes. You have Seals swimming with just their head exposed. We have Alligators doing the same. Different locations different wildlife and weather.
