Lunch box guys on a rock and roll mission! RIP - Pat! October 12, 1955 Plainfield, New Jersey - December 12, 2017 (aged 62)Summit, New Jersey, One year seems like a month ago.. R.I.P. - Rock In Peace.. Our beloved Pat D.
Man, what a night...Early 90s....One Step Beyond in Santa Clara, CA. 3 encores....they were having as much fun as we were. RIP Pat.
These guys put their heart and souls into every song
Fantastic bass.
This just blast out of my speakers with power. Well done.
That solo is filthy
Best guitar solo in the middle.
Can't get enough Smithereens
RIP PDIZ, you are missed sir, thanks for all you gave to this world including The Smithereens!
This is one of my all time favorite songs 💖💖💖💖💖
I've loved this band since 1986. Good to see that they're out playing shows with Marshall Crenshaw!
What a great band they were. RIP Pat.
This is, to me, the epitome of a guitar "snarl."

Well put, buddy.
Been looking for this song on KZread in forever! Absolutely wore out this song in my car radio in 1986!
I have a bass exactly like that one. 1978 Fender Precision.. Same color. Same bridge. Same everything. its a beast! Great bass!
R.i.P. Pat Di Nizio One of The Greatest Rock Groups!
I love this song and this band!
One of the all time great bands. Period. Pat - forever missed.
I love it, I love it! This is the song that did it for me.

Same here, the bass riff is so menacing yet so cool.
How great were these guys, man!
that guitar lick at 2;20 IS JUST BAD ASS
We loved them in Detroit.👍 Yes we did.
So good. I still can't contemplate Pat's passing...
Great band, great time for rebirth of rock. Looking at the date, cant help but think of dial up internet. Holy crap its 25 yrs later!
Rockin out in my parents basement wth 60 of my best High School buddies in Clarkston Michigan!! Doesn't get any better than these guys!!
good god man, several years after their peak, on national TV no less. Really great performance. Jim Badjak was at the peak of his coolness on the Rickenbacker.
💜just love this song
One band I missed live. A great band so under rated by those who don't know shirt. A killer group.
2:04 one the dirtiest old skool guitar breaks ever - just kills me when he walks that riff and the other guitar and bass player walk up and back on the stage.
RIP Pat
Nice to see someone uploading good quality video with Stereo sound. So many others upload total trash.

Thanks for the note of appreciation. Happy when others discover the sound difference, and picture quality, when I could manage it ;)
I had the pleasure of mixing stage monitor's for those guy's a couple of times. Pat, and the band, made me part of the show.... Peace and Love....

Bet that had to be a real honor and thrill....one time I met Rory Gallagher in a hotel elevator we got to talking and he ask if i wanted to go see his show that night....I didnt realize he meant part of the crew who help set up the stage ....lol I gladly did......Did i mention i was a huge fan of his before that.....happened in 1986 and I still remember everything to this day
Damn! I love their tunes!!!! Rock and roll baby!!!
I saw these guys play at the State Theater in Arlington Virginia, great show! THIS WAS ROCK AND ROLL AT IT'S FINEST! Afterwards, you could go up on stage & meet the band! Cool Guys!
What a huge sound!!!
R.I.P. Pat Dinizio ❤❤
This is Rock n Roll, kids.
Saw these guys last night..great show even though Pat can only sing now. His Iconic voice!
such a great song
I miss these days
Fav song by my fav band... RIP Pat... Rock on!
These guys sounded better live than recorded in studio, what a great band !
Saw them and met them in radio city back late 80s
Never got to see them live....wish i did
Epic epic song. Example of perfection
Saw smithereens in 90 great band still listen to them 2021
Pat DiNizio.....RIP. Thank you!!
This is perfect.
Just great!
Can't believe Conan was on 25 years ago.
Jim Babjak is just killing it. Damn , these guys were good.
R.I.P. Pat DiNizio 😞🙏

I saw them live in the city in 89 and Jim was leaning against a pole, playing with great intensity, and I've never seen a guitarist ever look as cool as he did in that moment.

He’s too loud, drowning out the band with chords ...

@@JohnMarksGuitar probably mixed like that on purpose? The riff is beautiful and the guitar seems to take center stage in it.

I never would have guessed he played a Rickenbacker listening to the album.
Love !
Just excellent
Loved these guys..saw them live @ Mississippi Nites in St.Louis...thinking very late 80's. If you look @ their earlier videos and then this one you, can see the difference in their appearance and stage presence, especially the lead and drummer, who no longer look like your average clean cut cousin. Mike looks and acts the same , PAt also, but with that hat and those glasses he looked a bit like Groucho Marx. Sure od miss those days..I was a young man then but no longer.
Love it...so tight
UN FENOMENO HACIENDO MELODIAS .PAT RIP¡¡¡¡¡
What a bass line.
pure smooth and just rock
Best bassline ever!
All the guitars, keyboards, horns, whatever is built atop a foundation of drums and bass.
Miss you Pat.
Nice. Very nice.
Used to play regularly at The Dirt Club in Bloomfield, NJ in the early 80s. Anyone remember?
Pat never really talked about his personal life much, but I remember hearing that when his daughter was born there were complications or something to that nature? Never really figured out if that was the case, or if the pic on his guitar was just simply proud dad moment on National tv.
Way too cool.
@mrearlygold: He's got nerve damage due to an injury, is undergoing Physical Therapy and requires surgery. At the moment he can't *use* his right hand. Sending Healing Vibes to My Buddy Pat!!

Power Pop MASTERS ♠️💥♠️💥♠️
It's punk rock. They make me think of what it would be like to meld "The Atilla and Dave Project" with "Social Distortion". The lead singer is HOT! The drummer is AWESOME! One of the best bands ever! I am watching this in 2021!
