they did an awesome job adapting this to live considering how much electronic computer music was involved in the recording
Awesome! Didn't know they played this live! 😳
Didn’t know a live version was available … it sounds fantastic… Billy please bring D’arcy back

WHY? She was a talentless, replaceable nobody. The 90s memories were fun but why would you campaign to bring a nobody garbage musician into an actual functional rock band?

She probably wouldn't be the same D'Arcy she didn't play professionally after SP
It's beyond amazing how they took this song, slowed it down and made it completely different and yet equally as good.
I don't know if I've said it here before so I'll say it again: this recording fucks the studio version TO DEATH. Genuinely incredible.
D'Arcy was so pretty in those years...
"The End Is The Beginning Is The End" The sewers belch me up The heavens spit me out From ethers tragic I am born again And now I'm with you now Inside your world of wow To move in desires made of deadly pretends Till the end times begin Is it bright where you are Have the people changed Does it make you happy you're so strange And in your darkest hour, I hold secrets flame You can watch the world devoured in it's pain Strange Climb my ribcage to The replays run for you Unhook my lights to peek behind the flash For I am crystal chrome I am shatter dome I am kremlin king of angels avenged To destroy the end Is it bright where you are Have the people changed Does it make you happy you're so strange And in your darkest hour, I hold secrets flame You can watch the world devoured in it's pain The zeppelins rain upon us The guns of love disastrous A shadow lies amongst you To defy the future cast Is it bright where you are Have the people changed Does it make you happy you're so strange And in your darkest hour, I hold secrets flame You can watch the world devoured in it's pain Strange Strange
Sickest intro live i have ever seen. Best version of this song.
It's awesome when D'Arcy's bass kicks in at 47 seconds....powerful moment.
The did a good job stripping out the electronica elements for live
I might just be crazy, but with the speed they're playing at, I could definitely pick up some Thrash Metal inspirations. This song and performance of it KICKED ASS!

Cant think of any other band that could sound like this
this track wheeled back out with the new 5 piece and of course Jimmy's correct way of playing 😊
the lyrics to this song are probably the most tripped out occultic truth even put to the radio, yet he says he wrote it about batman ...sure!

i was born to love the Smashing Pumpkins!
Almost forgot to watch this today.
The most underrated song! Love it
First time I see and hear this song performed live. Goosebumps! BC wrote some great songs, and he still does!
the smashing pumpkins were the best man off all time...bar none. thanks for the 100 tracks. jb
Omg thank you so much!
Jesus Christ, I though my heart would rip my cage through, this is pure adrenaline
And my face just melted off my fcking head! I loved them then and I love them now! Smashing pumpkins NEVER DIE!
Ahhhh!!!! How did I miss this??? Didnt know SP played this ever in Concert! And all 4!! 😭😫🌟
Fabulous Song and remembered long after the movie, killer chorus, sooo dark.
This is the best thing..
What a bomb this version!

Goddamn he can sing like this live!?! Much fuckin respect! Billy’s voice is something else!
This set lit was legendary.
This is a great song. And it sounds really good live. I am not the biggest fan of Smashing Pumpkins. But they got on my radar in the 90s and impressed me enough to buy an album or two. And that's not the easiest thing with me. I am picky with my music.
Syncing aside, thanks for the upload
I was there !! Unbeleivable ❤
Oh my god! The audio is killer! Geez I like the internet.. It's pretty cool
This is an improvement on the studio version which was already really good.
WOW awesome 😎
Chills throughout the whole damn song!
I like this song better than the Beginning is the End is the Beginning. But for some reason that other song is the one used more often. Live version of this rocks!
the best way to watch this video is to open it in two different tabs, mute the sound on the one you're actually watching, and start and stop the video until the audio lines up with the video...
they really sound good live
I love when they turn the stage lights on..Billy is like "oh hi, didn't see you there"
I still remember waiting for the end of the Batman movie to HEAR IT !!! Sweet 1997 🙂
Send a heartbeat to The void that cries through you Relive the pictures that have come to pass For now we stand alone The world is lost and blown And we are flesh and blood disintegrate With no more to hate Is it bright where you are Have the people changed Does it make you happy you're so strange And in your darkest hour I hold secrets flame We can watch the world devoured in it's pain Delivered from the blast The last of a line of lasts The pale princess of a palace cracked And now the kingdom comes Crashing down undone And I am a master of a nothing place Of recoil and grace Is it bright where you are Have the people changed Does it make you happy you're so strange And in your darkest hour I hold secrets flame We can watch the world devoured in it's pain Time has stopped before us The sky cannot ignore us No one can separate us For we are all that is left The echo bounces off me The shadow lost beside me There's no more need to pretend Cause now I can begin again Is it bright where you are Have the people changed Does it make you happy you're so strange And in your darkest hour I hold secrets flame We can watch the world devoured in it's pain Strange Strange Strange

What an interesting version of this song! The studio version was far from my fav Pumpkins song, but I like this version more. Only wish the mix was such that we could hear the vocals by James and D'arcy better (around 2:40).
Inwish there was a live version that’s closer to the album. I’d love to hear D’Arcy’s bass driving the song instead of Corgan and Iha drowning her down as usual.
Great song. Iykyk
i like it better live than on the album. i think they should’ve kept it like this

This song has "Immigrant Song" influences in it, you can tell by the solo, drums rhythm, even the lyrics itself mention zeppelins.

@@themagnanimous1246 It actually does! "The zeppelins rain upon us" at 3:46 and at 3:37 the guitar melody matches Plant´s ah-ahh-ah, ah-ah-ahh-ah melody at the beginnig of "Immigrant Song".
