I don't really watch the streams live for a couple reasons, but I watch a lot of content on the main and extras channel. I am 100% on board with you throwing in some sponsors to supplement things. Hope, if you do go that route, that it has a positive impact on the channel.

Been watching your video on youtube(and now mostly on the extra channel) since the forest nothing years. I can tell you for sure two things : - I hate youtube adds and do everything in my power to block them. - I have no issue with the sponsor like the one I see in Spirit In The Law most recent videos. More intrusive/longer adds are only okay with me if they are like the one I see on Oversimplified channel : they take 1 min at most in a 15 to 30 min videos and they're brought up with humor. Also, the man only post every few month, so at the end of the year, i did not watch 15 hours of add ...

"Find the Taco" from Dravidians is S tier

Ships sinking in AOE has always been a good one. I like how you can hear the timbers really groaning. The understated villager death sounds can be pretty funny too. Sponsors are tricky, there's a scale of egregiousness from Raid Shadow Legends dumped in the middle of the video down to a well thought out ad at the end. Pick what works for you, but it can be detrimental overall.

T90 Only to you, I always make sure to like your videos, thank you so much for never asking me to. I would not mind a Plug every once in a while I can always fast forward. Your channel does feel different and its because your not trying to milk your audience money. Pure content! And there is no better content than you talking about relic noises.

9:50 Oh, the diagonal hopping never was "patched." It behaves the same way it always has. You cannot hop over two adjacent wall tiles. But anything else you can hop over: a wall and a House, two Houses, two trees, a wall and a Gate, etc. 12:30 Same thing for building over the diagonal, can't build over two adjacent wall pieces. iirc you could in the original Aoe1 but it was changed in one of the early patches, and then the mechanic carried over to Aoe2.

The most satisfying sounds for me are the ones the Camels make. The same audio files were also used (slightly modified) in Doom for when zombies and imps die.

I love that you don’t have ads. YT obviously adds them in here and there but it’s so nice to not have to stop focus of the game in the middle and get a “this video is sponsored by bla bla bla”. It’s super nice to just chill out to some T90 content and know that I’m not getting sold stuff like everything else. If you do have to do it, I get it, but hopefully it can be at the end or beginning so it doesn’t interrupt the vid. Just my two cents. (And again this is a purely selfish thing - I totally get why you would do it and if it helps you do more of this and make a living, then I understand)

All chill is lost if you get a sponsor in the middle. T90 for me is a great chill content. One of the worst things of our age is getting sold dubious products by people we respect only to lose respect and see them slowly deteriorate. Using patreon or something and keeping genuine is better. I dread a day when T90 is going to sell me balls shaving appliance or tell me to invest into art or to use VPN. T90, thank you for being the beacon of what internet content should have been. You are the light in the darkness.

if it comes to sponsors, I'd prefer impersonal "ad reads" of the product, rather than sleek sponsor segues and "I've personally been using X" lies

I love the smallest map series! It's so different, intense, action packed and over in a reasonable time so I can watch it during lunch or so. Please keep them coming! Can't wait for smallest Socotra

Tiny maps was a great paradigm shift, we know what happens on regular 1v1s, forcing confrontation and due to limited space with no tree walls really is refreshing.

I agree it feels different, and that’s why we love your content. I think a sponsor for big events could be good - I think how Tom Scott does sponsorship is a great example. In general okay with sponsors so long as the ads aren’t too long or repetitive. Again, if I knew it was just for HiddenCup 4 or TTL, then I wouldn’t mind.

No-one does it like you do T-90! You're the best professional streamer ever! I've never seen archery ranges on a neutral island from anyone else before.

Loving the little maps T90. I would love to see you do a little tournament with the pros on these. Look forward to seeing you on twitch!

T90, I never watch the streams, but I watch absolutely everything you put on youtube. I don't care if you squeeze an ad into all your videos henceforth as long as it helps you. The only wish I have is that your casts and the game last forever! I love the game since its first release in 2000 or so.

Hey T90! Thanks for the content as usual. Love the small maps! I’m sure it has been talked about to death, but I still think the format would be more interesting with less towers and castles. The maps all start feeling “solved”, where whoever gets towers and/or castles up more efficiently almost always wins. Getting to Imp is focused around this too… to get trebs or bombards to take down the castles. I don’t know the best solution. You could double the stone cost with a mod, but I feel that just delays them from coming down, and the games still play out the same way. Maybe a mod can set their attack to zero, that way castle tech still comes into play? Anyway, thanks for all you do and keep up the great content!

Hey T90. I have been watching you since 2016. I don't comment much but I had to today. I think you should go ahead with the couple of sponsored videos a month idea. You put a ton of content for us to enjoy each and every month. You should definitely be trying to make this more rewarding to you (and the downside for the viewers is absolutely minimal imo). You can choose some crazy closed games with novel strats for this. KZread only videos in such games will give you a big window during the opening to do a 2-3 minute ad. If you watch the first 5-10 minutes of any game you choose to do this on, you can easily find a slot where you can not focus on the game for a while because nothing out of the ordinary is happening. Cheers!

I really like the Siege Workshop and Treb sounds.

The adds can actually be cool if presented in a fun or relatable way, that it, most if the time, if there a casual link to your content or personality (even artificially). It should not last for too long though, unless there's a real personalization of the content.

Hey Tristan, regarding your thoughts on advertising. Plz excuse my spelling (2nd Language) I only watch KZread for context. To me the success of your content comes through the clarity in your cause (make AOE2 great again 😉). This cause defines the way how you do that and the product are your videos/stream etc. In my oppinion it is possible to broaden the offering of content/advertisement as long as it does not interfeer with your devine cause. Meaning how you bring that content to life must serve the cause. This will ensure that what you do will keep your viewers on your side and enjoying your content. Hope this helps you with your decision ✌️

I'm not saying monks need a nerf, but here is an interesting nerf I just thought about in case they do need to be nerfed: for every upgrade applied to an unit, it resists conversion a little more -- not too much, just a little. You can make change bonuses based on resisting conversion stretch that "little more" to "little more and a little plus" just to preserve the advantage of that bonus too.

Re: About the sponsor ships speals. I think its more about duration than it is about repetition. I personally don't mind seeing a quick 5 second "Hey these are my sponsors check the details for more. I really enjoy them." I would rather not have to skip through a 2 minute shill on each video. But I think your also ok with once a week or two weeks having a bit longer discussion about sponsors. hope this helps you T90 on your decision making.

I think if you did an ad, instead of the progress bar you usually see on a video letting you know how much longer the ad is, you should do a vill getting woo woo wooed. When the vill dies, the ad's over. 11
