The Polish villagers sound so adorable. It is like they are innocently asking questions and responding. Especially with how the tone changes as they speak.

You don't see that often: pretty much the same number of villagers and the same number of resources collected with a K/D of 30/3.

that villager regeneration bonus for the Poles really put in work. GG

Ranged buildings nerf was on point. Towers are still strong. But way more balanced. This map looks awesome, by the way.

Ozone was probably thinking: My towers have reduced range... So to compensate I will build MORE!

It's crazy how trivial Castle Age is in these maps sometimes if you're already on the backfoot and being pressured down.

Matador has been consistently painful to watch lol just getting dominated

The tower change has made this series so much better! So much more variety.

Amazing game. The decision making alone is so difficult here. Time is the most important resource on these small maps. And even if you make perfect decisions, micro has to match...

Whenever these two play against each other it looks during the first half like Matador would win and then it all turns around and Ozone wins.

Wow, that was a slog. I'm very glad for the tower change, though Ozone played through those changes pretty well.

What a game. I get the feeling Ozone had so much fun in this game.

I think the building range nerf has proven to be a smashing success, even if it's the same type of game it's way more dynamic and fun (or at least, more interesting than more of the same)

This one lasted longer than expected

There was a long period in the game where ozone had a stack of gold from stone mining and plenty of wood for a market. I reckon if he focussed on macro a little more these games wouldn't be close at all. Somehow he always ends up tied on villagers despite causing absolute havoc.

Mat could've done better with his archers at the start. Sending 1,2 or 3 after a mob of vills that regain health was pointless. Running them under the towers. Sending 1 to the others base. He wasted away soo many of them. His vills where doing fine at defending. He easily could've had 14 archers and would've won. I dunno maybe im wrong lol

Honestly they're investing so much into towers it feels like it'd be easier to not fight them back and just save for castle

These recent ones with short range mod are great. They are wild games.

infantry is so underrated, i feel like eagle+archer or m@a could put in some work

These micro maps feel like chess vs checkers compared to the regular maps. One mistake microing and you're out.

I don't know if Matador had to play at 4:00 AM his time but he definitely seemed very "mashed-potato" tired and not his usual strategic self. Near the end of the game, his mangonels were his only win condition - he HAS to keep them alive and protected or it's gg and not for me. He had the option of ranging down literally HALF of Ozone's entire vil population in the SE (~90% of Ozone's wood income), with 3 mangonels at once those vils could have been 0 HP before Ozone even realized they were under fire and not have a chance to pull them back. He had the option to range down the 3 blue towers deep into matador's base that prevented him from gathering wood, stone, and being able to use his barracks, it would also free up space for him to strategically gate and protect his high-value win-condition units like archers or mangonels so they'd have somewhere safe to retreat to (because if they don't it's gg) He had the option to safely range down Ozone's houses, which being pop capped would've been underestimatedly strong. Tiny delays in waiting for units to die before the next one is produced would be huge in Matador's favor. What he decides to do instead is send all of his mangonels forward almost completely unprotected to target the TC. His final win-condition protection being 2 spears, 1 vil, and one of his opponent's buildings VS a growing mass of scouts that he has already seen, a mass of archers that he has seen, and 30+ villagers that he has seen. It's just baffling.

11:25, this happened 2 time, if Matador just knew that Ozone didn't have stone anymore, if he just committed one vill more this tower would have gone down.

I cannot believe Ozone came back from that start. It looked like he was totally dead. How many more vills did EM produce? Like 40?

Not just towers. Just some stone walls and gates (!) to control chokepoint would be massive. Imagine having a couple of archers protected by stone walls. There is nothing a dozen villagers could do to kill them

It's nice having the towers not be basically infallible. :D

The towers weren't the stars here, they're just the bait to pull in Matador for vil fights.

It would be interesting to see what may have happened if Matador went 1 or 2 mangonels and several scorpions. That may have been better against the scouts, of course he didn't know about them till it was too late.

In todays tutorial we will learn what will happen if you do not wall in your towers. Impressively long match

Just an idea: what if tower range eere dependent on the distance from the tc? That way, towers are really weak offensively, but relatively strong defensively, changing the whole dynamic back to army

I would have loved to see a "Smallest ever map" in the Hidden Cup map pool. I don't even really care which one it was, but throwing some of the best players in the world into a game on these tiny maps in a large tournament would have been classic.

Ozone is clearly a better player. Elo doesn't matter. Competitors should be close in skills at any level

I think the shorter range on buildings actually makes tower rushes stronger in a way. It makes it so much harder to counter tower if you get down.

Horse collar is so useless, I don't know why Ozone got it. He would have gotten like 30 extra food because of it but spent 75 food and 75 wood for it. I wonder if there is a reason he didn't wall in his initial towers. An insane fightback from Matador though.

Hey T90, can I donate money for the winnings? And how do I do that? I don't just want to donate to the channel, but to the pot that they can win in these games. To add a bit more money that's on the line. Maybe y'all could have a donate to the pot link that y'all provide, and can advertise it at the end of the video? I for one would donate and it would definitely be more efficient if there was a link where anyone could go donate to the pot.

Ozone seems to almost always outclass matador. maybe he is used to claustrophobia

Good comeback by Matador, but just what the hell was he doing throwing away all his eco at the start of the game? The outcome could've been very different if he'd taken down those towers more strategically earlier

IMO Ozone is held back as a player because of his idle TC time. I've yet to see a match from him where his idle TC time is anywhere close to his opponent's win/lose, and if he overcame that somehow he'd definitely have gotten into the hidden cup
