The Slow Rise Of The PSS 280

I sampled an old Yamaha Portasound 280 and wrote this music with Impulse Tracker 2.14 on my 90 Mhz IBM computer. Module size about 690 kb, but I multi-sampled all sounds since the big strength with the Yamaha Portasound 280 and all lo fi FM devices are the beautiful crispiness of lower notes. Oh and sorry for the unsynced strobing monitor...

A few decades ago I used to superimpose some timbres like violin (39) on the same sound to make a chorus-like effect. Chords sounded very much cooler that way. Unfortunately, the PSS-280 low polyphony didn`t allow good chords with many cool superimpositions like (41+41) or (25+25) if I remember well. Cheers!
