À travers le film The Slow Lane de la réalisatrice Alexa Fay, partez à la rencontre de Pierre Bouchard et de Janick Lemieux, un couple de cyclistes nomades ayant pédalé plus de 200 000 km depuis 1990 et passé près de 14 ans sur la selle de leur vélo. Alors qu’ils entreprennent un voyage à vélo dans l’arrière-pays du Québec, ce documentaire retrace leur histoire, leur amitié, leur amour et leur décision de parcourir le monde, de la ceinture de feu volcanique du Pacifique, jusqu’au continent Africain.

Awesome, video. When I was young I did several shorter Bicycle tours by your standards, but had a great time. Tour of Ontario and Quebec 1975, Cycle Canada 76, (anybody remember?) Tour along the West Coast of the USA1977, Alberta down into middle Montana1980,. Stopped and did many forms of bicycle racing. Edmonton to Jasper 2014, and we started doing parts of the KVR. Bikepacking is more our cup of tea for sure nowadays. Keep riding and HAVE FUN!!

Hi guys and wow. What a great video. I used to cycle a lot when I was younger! I’m planning a huge road trip to Ireland and Scotland in September and wasn’t going to take my bike!!! Now seeing your video, I think I will and do some of my trip on bike. Merci beau coup for the inspiration. Drew xx

If this isn’t inspirational, what is? I have .never thought about cycling at “my own pace” before….I have been a cyclist for years, mostly MTB, but have recently bought a e-bike because of my health, my spine is beyond repair and at 57 and using a power chair when I need to walk anywhere like a supermarket, cycling allows me to still feel independence, to feel that connection with nature, and with myself. I am lucky enough to live in the Shropshire hills in the UK, granted it’s not the wilds of Canada or Africa etc, but it puts me out there enjoying the natural world even though I am disabled….so thank you guys for such a wonderful film 🤙

Always room left for more creativity!
too many cyclist think they have to go race speed all the time keep up with cars all the time me I am going my speed witch is slow I still get from point A to point B
great story! To the man who said ‚I don‘t know anyone who travelled that long on a bicycle‘ - please learn about Heinz Stücke.He has left Germany by bike in 1962 and travelled the world by bike for 51 years!!!

@@mattiasandersson2315 sometimes I feel like peopel 'fight' over records that the real ones get ignored or washed away. So I don't know how someone from a velo magszines says something like thst without obviously checking fact because 'since the 70s feels so long'

@@paperjourni8964 i don't want to take anything away from them,, their journey is without a doubt a a great feat few people have done so it's very impressive for sure ,,but i doubt anyone can beat Heinz,,he have the years ,and miles,,he's great, amazing man!

I think this guy meant that IN HIS PERSONAL ENVIRONMENT, he knows no one else who has been travelling by bike for so long. Does not mean, there IS no one else. 😊
