This was an excellent radio series from the 1953-54 season. James Stewart did well in the role of Britt Ponset. This radio series (and this particular episode) transitioned to television under the name of "The Restless Gun," featuring John Payne in the role created by James Stewart.

@@laurajuarez6282 No, I mean John Payne, not John Wayne. John Payne, with an initial "P" in his surname, is often confused with John Wayne. John Payne is best remembered for his featured role in the film "Miracle on 34th Street."

It is the same guy that played the barber on Andy Griffith I can't think of his name but he also plays on the old time radio show Gunsmoke show he was Doc Adams he plays in a lot of shows from this early 40s and 50s his voice is very easy to recognize he has had a stroke during Andy Griffith Show some of the last shows he did they said they had to prop him up if you noticed he's always in a seated position
