Not sure if you know the whole magnatar situation but it just screams so much of mamamax using manipulation with spencer trying to insert things that never happen. Takes her credibility out. She even states on stream too that there is "100s upon 100s and 100s" of kids that this Camden guy had but no actual proof of this. But she does get into a instance that grosses me out. She admits on stream that she was helping lure children to Camden and that they actually did kidnapped a 13 year old for a day. If this is all true she should be arrested.

The most egregious part of this entire debacle (at least to me) is that he directs any potential victims to contact him. He doesn't tell them to call the police, he doesn't give them a number to a detective investigating this alleged predator, no. He wants to scoop out all the juicy details first so he can make another bizarre ARG-style video while desperately hoping it finally lionizes him the way he "deserves."

The best thing would be for him to have contacted a victims advocacy group and direct potential survivors to them . Seems very exploitative and culty to have them contact him.

The fact that he actually was just doing a bad Heath Ledger’s Joker impersonation when ranting about canceling Charlie is just nuclear level cringe.

I watched a few of his videos years ago and found them entertaining but always found his persona very odd. Like he was trying to play off his audiences emotions and being a parental figure to those who had also been abused. I mean even the name "mama max" seemed off to me. I always thought it was a ploy to get people to let their guard down around him like "don't worry kids mama will protect you" and knowing that never sat right with me

As a CSA survivor, I agree there needs to be a separation. Yes, talking to other survivors and getting/giving support is great, but it should not be led by someone who is just using our stories for their own gain. The fact he does the silly voice when talking about our pain and doesn't use the voice when he's answering his own allegations is just proof he doesn't actually care about or take us seriously.

Also talking to survivors directly tied to your own case is a huge no no. Because the court doesn't like that. If Spencer would have simply talked about her story, names changed, PII left out it would be fine. It's just that vigilantism when statute of limitations ran out isn't a great thing to do.

But making these awful experiences from *real people* into entertainment for others and views for dollars that line his pockets is just so .. off-putting to me. Mamamax gets off to feeling powerful. You can hear the sadistic pleasure in his voice when he talks about Charlie. All the discord stuff is a way to have vulnerable people under his thumb while he retends to be the hero in public.

One point about Magnatar: he has real evidence against Mamamax: Hailey has filed multiple police reports against Max, dating back many years before the video. Max himself admitted to stalking her in his refutation video. I don’t know about the other girls though.

Or…we just so happen to have a window into the lives of people now that we never had before. If you look at the average age of schizophrenia onset it’s late teens and early 20s for men and late 20s to early 30s for women. We’re just watching people film themselves enter into psychosis and we never have had this kind of front row access to human development before. Gabby Hanna is another example of this. I’ve had people in my personal life and I can tell exactly when they’re dropping into psychosis by their social media posting, it’s wild.

Kinda makes sense now. I interview the loved ones of missing persons on my channel and I had a case I really thought he could help with so I emailed him a few times an never heard back. Figured he was busy but thought for some I'd at least get a response. Well now I know why I didn't get a response, it was all fiction so he couldn't actually help me track someone down.

Also, for what it's worth, the case I was asking him to help with had a happy ending. Her name was Alicia Navarro out of Arizona and luckily about 4 years after going missing she turned up in Montana. It turns out what he mother had suspected HAD been what happened- An older man lured her away via the chat feature on an online video game. Since it was similar to Max's cases, I hd asked him for help. Overall, at least she turned out okay, tho.

My review goes as follows: The author is Swedish and I found it quite nice to read, keeps it very simple, very transparent and adds depth where it’s needed. They’re basically his own studies on psychology. Doesn’t write like he knows it all nor states his opinions as factual, just does the research and tells you the best results. Though, I’ve definitely open my eyes to a lot of the behaviours around me, I can understand tricky people a little better and spot the red flags. It also gives advice how to manage them, bc I too have struggled with such personalities.

This disaster of a human being is such a juicy way to start the year. I might need to start ordering my popcorn in bulk. Or sourboys, in this case.

Any time there is a congregation of vulnerable people, you will find predatory people there seeking to exploit those people - so, always be extremely cautious of anybody seeking to create gatherings for/of vulnerable people. It's an unfortunate fact of life, which is oftentimes not one that most people consider.

He is incredibly unhinged. Its sad honestly because vulnerable people trusted him and im sure feel very backstabbed.

Side note: The reason you should use a fair use disclaimer is to prevent bad actors from avoiding repercussions for infringing upon your fair use by claiming ignorance. Nobody can claim ignorance when you detail the law protecting you in the piece they claim. The problem is that people saw creators using it to protect themselves, and assumed they were using it to prevent copyright claims then began using it themselves.

Yeah Tommy C is OG in this, he was calling him out while it was the norm to support Max, so relieved it turned around and even Oompa got around, now we just need nux taku and the circle is complete

I'm not sure this is the right place for this, but: So I knew about Max for a while, as I've been subbed for some time. What I didn't know until recently was that I am working with his mother. I've received some interesting perspectives from her. I didn't bring up the situation to her as I felt this was something Max needed to bring up himself. I did, however, tell her to check-in with him. Monday this week I asked her how he was doing emotionally, as I'm sure he's under a lot of duress, and she kind of went into the whole topic and her (naturally) defending his actions. I didn't feel like it was my place to *really* get into the topic, but I at least provided an "abridged" version of what the major issues are. I'll say this at least, from my experience working with his mother, I can see the connection where some of his current character comes from. Nice person, but has definitely taken advantage of my kindness on several occasions. Side note - another coworker has a girlfriend who's sister is close with Spencer. Wasn't really provided any details about her character before all of this took place, but I could probably find some of that information if people are interested in any of that.

By the deep-voiced tough guy, dom persona he put on, I'm very surprised no one caught on that he was untrustworthy sooner. It was all an act from the beginning and I'm glad the curtain has finally been pulled back on him. He seems to prey on the victims in his audience and it's genuinely appalling

Exactly what I’ve been thinking. Suuuuper reminiscent of disgusting, foul Onision. Acting like he’s saving young, vulnerable women. Taking them under his care so he can manipulate them further. This reeks of something very dark and fishy. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Max is indeed a predator, himself. I am curious to know what allegations his exes have against him. Okay so I have a thought well a few 1) what if that’s just her ex who dumped her so she did this for revenge? 2) what if he was never her bf but a friend that she told about being abused so he said you can always stay with me. Then when she tried to get him to be her bf and he says no boom does this. 3) I am an actual human trafficking survivor by my own mom. And the way she talks and how she acts when she is talking about it does not look like someone whom has been traumatized. Like she laughs adds on when people mention something and she isn’t using her memory she is making it up as she goes. I lost a baby myself from a SA but guess what I can tell you how it smelled looked felt etc with my trauma it’s like a movie I can’t escape when I get triggered. Her and Max trigger me you can tell it’s all a lie. And if we are supposed to believe everyone then why doesn’t Max want us to believe his accusers ? I mean it all makes no sense. And why lie about 4 miscarriages in 4 months it’s not possible at all! That’s like saying a pony gave birth to a unicorn it’s never gonna happen. I reached out to Max but he won’t respond to me . I’m a no one but I’m smart enough to know this is all a lie for money attention and “fame”. It’s all about their feelings and feeling important. When I supported him like a year ago I went on his discord and it just seemed weird. It felt competitive and just not the type of community I felt was really there to support victims, at least with the more active users I saw there. I guess that makes sense now with all the info out lol
