From my perspective, Len Bias was a one of a talent that that Boston could’ve added alongside Larry Bird, but the tragedy happened and changed history to what could’ve resulted more Championships for the franchise

His dad said the substance was found in his stomach,...Not his nostrils. I don't see how this was overlooked all these years. In my opinion, that's very sinister. His brother "Jay" Bias was killed 4 years later on December 4th 1990. He was accused of flirting with a jewelry clerk. Her husband shot Jay... "Jay was leaning over on the driver,"..."He was telling us to tell his family how much he loved them. That's what he kept saying. He kept telling us to tell his family how much he loved them." "Then he started saying the Lord's Prayer,"... 🙏He was pronounced dead in the same Leland Memorial Hospital emergency room where his brother died of cocaine ingestion in June 1986🙏 Terrible...Sad man. Thank you for the video. His story has stuck with me through the years. 👑Wes

With Len Bias being an athletic monster in the paint and having such a good mid range game, could you imagine how many 3s Bird and Ainge would take a game with the defense collapsing all game? I bet even Mchale would start regularly taking 3s. And if they still find a way to get Reggie Lewis the year after it would be unfair. Already was unfair getting a 2nd pick on a championship team

@StainMasters multiple scouts said Len Bias's mid range game was more advanced than Jordan's was at that age. I think Jordan was a better ball handler but Bias would have easily been his arch rival. No doubt in my mind if he lived Bird would retire in 1990 with 6 chips

Most people don’t recognize this but the Celtics lost 2 stars in a 8 year period that were franchise altering tragedies (strictly sports speaking). There’s absolutely no doubt bias was going to be an all time talent and bring Boston another banner. Instead the Celtics struggled mightily for over a decade because of the losses of bias and Lewis. Rip.

This is not difficult to see what the agenda was with this whole thing. Believe what you want, but if Bias had been alive, him, Bird, and the Celtics probably would've been the " Team Of The 80's" instead of Magic and The Lakers. Now, Conduct Your Own Theory.

As a guy who has watched basketball since the late 1970s, including Bias in person at UMD games and at pickup games in the summer, you’re mistaken about the athletic ability of basketball players then compared to now. Plenty of guys had super hoops such as David Thompson, Darrell Griffin and many others although I would concede the average vertical jump today is probably higher now but the overall basketball skill level, basketball IQ and toughness were better in the late 20th century than they are today. The guys today are so fugging soft and cry to the referees like a little bitch after every play especially LeBiatch James, Green and others. It’s a shame that it’s evolved into a pickup game that has 40 3 pointers per team per game and a hard foul gets a guy thrown out and suspended. Talk about Mo Lucas, Sydney Moncrief, Terry Cummings and so many other real men who played in the 80s who would knock down Curry (whom I love but barely gets touched) to the ground if he roamed around free to the hoop. I’m the Old Homie who wishes the late 20th century basketball was still alive today because it was more competitive, tougher and better for fans than the new league where bitches like James jump ship to chase rings because he thinks he is the GOAT when he’s a baby billionaire who can’t shoot FTs, mid range or 3s and has obviously been using PEDs for years now and that’s why he’s still playing. Len Buas was a real man who dabbled and lost his life… had he lived, he would have been a top 10 player ever. For the record, only Kobe and maybe Duncan from the 21st century are on that list. James is way overrated especially considering how he said that he’s the goat. Bird and Magic were definitely better than that idiot

The joke death. The fact people think his death is a tragic and not a joke speak volume. Lens inability to say no to drugs reflect more than his personal choice. Drugs are still a big problem in the states because the wrapped culture that substance abuse is consider harmless. The joke really write itself in full circle when American blame other countries for pain killer addiction.

Your drug education is laughable. Most of the deaths from opioids are from illegal fentanyl coming from other countries. While legal opioids have a huge place for chronic pain patients and should be legal for all people in pain. There’s no consistency with the media and court testimonies in bias case. Some articles read he had 200mg of cocaine.. other sources said he had 5 grams of cocaine in his stomach. The government made laws after Len bias death making crack cocaine extremely more illegal than regular cocaine, even tho bias died from regular cocaine. Which would make the law bias toward broke people not rich people. There’s a lot of suspicious shit surrounding the case, it’s likely he was killed by the government and sports agencies.
