We could do that in sims 2 and 3 console versions (maybe PC versions too but idk cause I didn’t play them on PC lol), it’s weird that they keep removing features instead of just adding features (or at the very least just NOT removing features)

It looks like MeUndies are selling some of these swatches as part of their Valentine's line. Now I wish they created a pair with Sims icons, like the woohoo, lips, and rose icons.

When you talked about the towel bar saying "I wish the bars weren't different colors", I jumped for joy just to hear someone else voice it! I think the lack of separating out the color swatches that get applied is a problem! Living without Create A Style would be so much easier if they just gave more separate parts to choose colors for!

Yes! It always annoys me when I see the underwear is higher waisted than the pants I choose but only one pair of pants has visible underwear that matches very few swatches. It would be cool to be able to pair different jackets with different T-shirts too. How cool would it be to have the option to take jackets or winter coats and hats off inside like they did with shoes and just have a shirt underneath.

I really wish you could have the body suits from the intimates kits under jeans bc that’s so realistic to what ppl wear out to parties and bars and all

The bathroom clutter kit could've been a great way to do a soft rollout of gameplay kits again. Just add some functionality to the items- old sims being able to actually take out their teeth, the option to choose between an electric or manual toothbrush, the light switches actually working instead of clicking on the lights, working hairdryer- simple stuff that is easy to add and adds small and meaningful gameplay that helps the game feel more alive.

So when they made the orginal clutter kit, they probably had all the bathroom stuff and more we'll see in the future I'm sure, and they went "nah, split it up into as many kits as possible" This is like My First Pets Stuff all over again. The items are cute, but it should have all been in the original clutter kit, this is pretty underhanded of them, thought they learned their lesson.

i personally disagree, i think they just thought “oh clutter would be a good topic for multiple kits” and split it up in however many clutter kits they end up doing. i dont think any of it is “leftovers”. i do think kits are kinda a scam and should come w at least 20+ more items than they do now to be worth their price, but i dont think they did everything ur saying.

I also wanted to comment, on the underwear kit, I was hoping that they would have long nightgowns, and thermal underwear for the elders. And how about more baby onesies and toddler and kids nightgowns. Then have socks and new fluffy slippers that look like you are walking on a tribble.

One of TS4's biggest mistakes for me was the single-channel for recolors. I miss in TS2 when you could recolor the parts of an item separately, like the bedframe and sheets, or the counter tops and sides.

They should make the plunger work for when the sims “break” the toilet 😭

I wish they would've added a new clothing category as a free update for underwear! The Simtimates kit lacks for me because it doesn't really fit pajamas as a category. Although I really like the idea of using some as swimwear!

i just dont understand why the dentures cup is SO SMALL! the cup with the toothbrush is sm bigger too. their side tables/nightstands are pretty large so that item sitting on it will look so tiny in comparison. i just dont get why they didnt scale better.

These kits are a solid pass for me. I can see how they'd be nice for people who can't get or are averse to using CC. The bathroom clutter kit especially should have just been a BG addition.

No, it makes sense. Take the one bra with the peeky underboob and the lace (thick lace, which is a weird choice) on top. The lace looks like it is painted onto the sim's body. Same with the elastic bands on a couple of the undies and one of the bras.

im obsessed with the items in the bathroom kit. i think a lot of it is worth being a kit, but some of it should've just been a BG update (toothbrush glass, toiletpaper, soap) the underwear kit is really laughable charge 5 bucks for, imo. a more valuable pack would've been a swimwear kit, since we ACTUALLY get to see that part of cas and there's only like 5 swimwear sets for masc and fem

I work in game dev and they could turn out one of these clutter packs in like a couple of weeks with minimal effort by their devs these are really so simplistic and feel money grubby as a result.

What I think happens is after they decide what’s going to be included in the main pack, anything else that was in progress, including abandoned ideas, goes in these kits. They’re scraps. I wonder if they were working on gameplay where things get progressively more cluttered and messy since it’s going to be a generations type pack.

Im just happy the bathroom kit isnt a toothpaste and tooth brushing kit. Like, im not ready for my sims to worry about bad breath and have a sim brush their teeth for 3 hours

I haven't played sims 4 in a while (my pc can't run it), and i completelly forgot that you don't have an underwear option like in sims 2. An underwear only kit doesn't make much sense when you don't have an underwear outfit option

The 2007 fancy really hit the nail on the head. My parents renovated in 2001 and my whole house has that vibe

I like the browns and kind of “out of date” looking swatches! Sometimes you want to age a build. I love making homes for older Sims and purposefully making everything ‘out of fashion’ to reflect their age!

I had this thought earlier today, and I think the Simtimates kit reinforces it, that it would be so much better if hot/cold weather wear wasn't seperate categories, but extra options for the other categories instead. So you'd have hot/cold weather everyday wear, formal wear, etc. You could use the new underwear (and underwear in general) for hot weather sleepwear and have your Sims wear cozy pjs for when it's cold... idk, I think it'd be cool. And for anyone who thinks that'd be too much, maybe you could link them and have them all be the same, or simply use pre-made outfits?

I actually love that! It kinda breaks the immersion for me when my sims go to a party in strapless dresses while there is a snowstorm outside. Not to mention some guests almost freeze to death on their way to the lot. I do try to give them one warm and one cold option, but of course they just wear whatever they want, and I have to manually change it. Of course, that doesn't solve the freezing issue either since they technically aren't cold weather outfits.

YES one time my sims got married in one of the pre-made wedding venues, but it was cold so everyone was freezing to death lmao 😭

i just wish the CAS kit had them under accessories so you could layer it with normal tops and bottoms, like how some CC works

I love the swatches on the bathroom clutter - I could really fit the items into either a sleek modern apartment, a kids bathroom, I can make it messy, or really fancy, all with the same items! Often I feel like items are made to fit one style but these could go in any of my builds. It feels really well thought out which I commend them for.

I was really hoping this would be a modern bathroom kit (or just a bathroom furniture kit in general). I'm fine with a bathroom clutter kit, though because it lacks the versatility as the other clutter kit (which I love) I don't know if I'll buy it. It just should've been a bathroom furniture kit, more modern bathtubs and a true walk-in shower feature, nice sinks, bathroom mirrors etc.

I wish the bathroom clutter kit had better resolution, but I love the items so I might get it. I also wish all of the clutter was in an extra large stuff pack that had one or two items with new functions.

I’m convinced they will be adding a dentist career either in the new EP or an upcoming GP. The dentures/retainer really make me suspicious.

TP with wall holder is 50 simoleons TP without is 10 = The toilet paper only costs 10, you pay 40 for the wall holder thing and now you can be cheap and put a roll on the floor next to the toilet.

I was kinda excited about the bathroom clutter kit but when I saw the Mario 64 graphics in the preview I knew I would keep up my tradition of not buying any kits lmao

I loved the last clutter kit but this one... I feel indifferent about both of these new kits... Frankly, I feel meh about the Simtimates kit. This just isn't a clothing category that gets used often enough to warrant making an entire kit for it AND charging for it. I feel like this one should have been free.

Honestly wasn’t into the hype of the first clutter kit either. I don’t get it but that’s just me. The only one I spent real dollars on was the pastel pop kit, which I slightly regret but I do like plenty of the stuff, and the fact they collaborated with a simmer

Kayla is just going to say "I wish there were more neutral colours, less bold patterns" forever, and EA will forever ignore that

I absolutely love how supportive the bras look. I've been waiting so long to make a single mom character that sleeps in a bra and shorts (because that is what's normal to me) But none of the bras looked realistic to what somebody with a larger chest would wear to bed.

Just look for the dental care mod or other toothpaste CC, there's lots of them. Looks better and it's free.

"$5 for some underwear is a bit much" is exactly how I feel shopping for underwear irl.

I definitely feel like the bathroom clutter kit is hinting at some sort of family expansion pack!! I feel like they added something for every age!

Happy birthday to me! 24 now.🥳 My thoughts with these two kits after watching a few videos... yeah, if you're a console Sims player that is playing The Sims 4, we do not have a way to get more undies and undergarments, so the Simtimates Collection Kit is worth its value if you like underwear. We do not have the privelage of Custom Content in this part of the player base. Bathroom Clutter Kit, yeah... if you like the Everyday Clutter Kit, go for it and make your bathrooms as messy as having muddy dogs come home from a fun day in the park and staining your carpet. I am not a dog owner or a dog lover, so I have no clue what people do with dogs apart from going on walks and cleaning poop. I'm sure you can all get use to low polygons in the objects that just made it looks like it was a pack from The Sims 2.😅

This is tangentially related to your comment, but I wanted to let you know that people who have huskies (dog breed) spend a lot of time screaming wordlessly into the void with their dog and have to vacuum every day in addition to walks and poop scooping. Life is absurd and chaotic and dogs have a superpower for participating in that and being happy about it.

Happy Birthday. Wish we had better sims stuff for you to enjoy on your special day. It's actually still the 19th for me. So, hello from the past.

I feel like even comparing the Everyday Clutter Kit to the Bathroom Clutter Kit makes the bathroom one not as worth it (not that any of them are truly worth $5 [or $7 for me in Canada]), they both give more personality but I feel like the everyday one has more diverse personality options. Especially since you can use the everyday one pretty much everywhere (kitchen, living room, bedrooms, gym) but you can only use the bathroom one in the bathroom and a couple items in the bedroom.

Obsessed with simsie always saying “I’m gonna use this all the time” when most of her builds are only base game 😂

It’s strange not to make one big pack for clutter that adds up to the price of like five of these little kits. They could literally do clutter for every room without it being all separated. It can’t make that much more money to do multiple little packs. Nonetheless, the bathroom kit made me super happy! The toilet mat is a detail i never knew i needed, along with light switch, night light, and flippable TP. Underwear seems like it should’ve been base, but i can understand making it a paid pack since it’s a collab.

I was actually pretty interested for the underwear pack bc throughout the years we barely got any underwear options for our sims until now and I think that the meshes ended up looking really cute, which is impressive for me to say since the main thing I do in the sims is build and I barely spend any time on CAS lol

i was hoping we’d get more loungewear and a loungewear clothing section so that they can wear it around the house and stuff. its just not worth it to pay money for underwear you can only wear as pajamas yk (although as a console commoner i will buy this kit anyway 🌚)

@@mercury7636 Well, it depends. As lilsimsie said, you can use this loungewear as a bathing suit if you want. CAS kits will never add more than just clothing, so something such as a whole new clothing section or something like that wasn't something to be expected, so with all that in consideration I'd say that it's actually a pretty nice kit and I, personally, would even recommend it!

i'm getting pretty creative with this kit. i've created a cool retail shop with some of the bathroom clutter items. i might do the same with the simtimates kit too.

I actually really like the neutral towels and carpets, but I do wish they came in a variety of colors like some of the other items in game do.

Both kits are pretty cool, the underwear kit shores up the relative lack of men's underwear options, even if they're not really a commonly seen item. Bathroom clutter is cool, bathrooms always looked pretty empty or sameish to me. Everyone essentially having the same one.

As someone who also like realistic elements in their gameplay and builds, the bathroom clutter kit is a GOLD MINE. I know this is slightly different, but you would not believe how excited I was for the laundry day pack.

I really like the reviewing of kits, I never know if I should buy one but this kind of review really helps me

Simsie really gonna just have a cc peppa pig outfit chilling in her cas and not even mention it 😆 like girl. I need an explanation.

So early! Also I'm so excited for both of these. One thing I will say, is I wish there was a way to layer clothes. For example a coat category item over a top category item. Or a dressing gown over these simtimates. I'd love a long open version of the dressing gown we have, that could be layered over the simtimates

if they made all of the clutter kit stuff functional it would be so much more popular and people would actually buy it 😭 imagine ur sims blowdrying their hair, taking the towel off the racks, doing a skincare routine or combing their hair UGH i pray the EA team gets it together one day

I feel like a lot of this could fit into already existing packs, like I got spa day from some of the stuff especially in the bathroom clutter kit.

The two clutter kits mix quite well. Yesterday I was decorating a kids room and bathroom and I mixed the two kits a a lot. The bathroom turned out cute but the kids room turned into a voidcritter shrine. Also that dragon lamp from I forgot what pack fits well into a spellcaster library. I used that lamp like 10 times in my custom magic realm.

So when I heard about a possible kit for a bathroom I was like, that’s cool. My bathrooms always look horrible so this would be good. But like I was expecting decor that actually work. Bathroom ceiling lights, functional toothbrush, razor, switches, bathroom cupboards, hanging plants, cute bathroom sinks, curtain, a urinal, diaper changing table, maybe even a toilet/sink combo but like tiny little stuff that don’t add any kind of gameplay? I loved the little campers kit, desert luxe kit, and pastel pop kit because we got actual furniture. Why do we have to pay for more unusable clutter? Or they should have at least given us like 50 nonfunctional clutter pieces that I wish were bigger if we have to pay 5 bucks for something like this. Everyone was speculating before that the tiny drawers, dentures in the photos were probably from a generation pack but what the heck! It’s just for a kit they have been working on since September? I don’t know how to feel about this…

Tbh if they would make a proper generations pack they couldve also thrown the bathroom clutter in there... kinda tired of the kits somehow... like where the stuff packs at?

I totally get what you're saying at 4:00 the first time I saw this set in the promo it screamed alpha cc to me, like it's almost half way between alpha and maxis.

10:32 I think I can see where this is going. These two packs might not be for the pure gamers of The Sims as they don't add gameplay value in the sense of achievements and goals, but when you make movies with this game, then I think both packs are pure gold; more underwear means more personalisation for your movie characters, and I don't think I have to explain the importance of bathroom details in settings and scenes. These packs are actually awesome, each in their own right.

I remember as a kid that we had fish decals swimming around the bathroom walls through painted coral in our kids bathroom. I should utilize decals more for kids stuff. That was something I definitely remember loving as a kid. I thought that it was the coolest bathroom ever.

I never used to put clutter on my Sims counters until they decided to start preparing their food in the bathroom. lol. Since then I constantly use it. I love this new clutter kit and will get it along with the Simtimates and I still need to get the everyday clutter one. I have the Pastel one. I think the next step Sims team needs to do is actually make it where Sims can comb their hair and use a hair dryer and maybe even color their hair. If they can make it where Sims can shave, they can do those things. Plus, they have it where they brush their teeth so maybe make it so like some of the clutter items could actually be functional such as the electric toothbrush. Can you imagine Sims brushing their hair and like they have an animation where the brush gets tangled and they struggle and get mad and finally pull it out or brushing their kids hair and the kid screams bloody murder like I used to do as a kid. haha. Some simple things like that could make game play so much better. Perhaps the next Sims can do that. You didn't post a video yesterday, probably because you wanted to wait for the kits to come out. I do like their kits but think a lot of them could have been updated to be part of the base game.
